ACA Founders

In the fall of 1997, Augustine Christian Academy was founded by Judith Stewart, Kirk Post, and Lorretta Miller. These dedicated educators were interested in more than excellent teaching methods and credentials. They were equally dedicated to mentoring students in the halls and classrooms of Augustine Christian Academy.

Dr. Larry Ehrlich

ACA’s Administrator

Dr. Ehrlich’s academic credits include a Doctor of Philosophy from Oxford Graduate School in Dayton, TN, Master of Divinity from the Lutheran School of Theology in Chicago and a BA in Psychology and Philosophy from Fort Hays State University. He has studied at Michigan State University and the University of Heidelberg, Germany and has done advanced training in chemical dependency counseling. His doctorial dissertation was the development of a survey to test the basic beliefs (worldview) of young adults.

For more than thirty years our administrator has been in Christian ministry as teacher/pastor/counselor and was for fifteen years the senior pastor of Twin City Fellowship, a non-denominational congregation in Minneapolis, MN. From 1994 to 2002, he served as the National Director of Bridges for Peace in the United States. He is currently Director of the U.S. branch of Jerusalem Cornerstone Foundation, a Jerusalem-based ministry dedicated to study and service.

Over the years, Dr. Ehrlich has spoken extensively to audiences large and small about Israel and the Hebraic roots of Christianity, traveling throughout the US, Europe and the Middle East. He has been a speaker in numerous conferences, churches, colleges and Bible schools, on radio and TV programs, as well as events for the Jewish community. Larry and his wife of 35 years, Mary, have been tour hosts for many tours to Israel with an emphasis on clergy and “first-timers” to the Land. It is their joy to present Israel as God’s modern miracle.

The Erlichs have three grown children and two grandchildren. They are natives of Kansas and have spent most of their life in Kansas, Minnesota and Oklahoma.

Lorretta L. Miller

Principal of the School of Dialectic

Lorretta Miller has over twenty five years of teaching experience. Her diverse background started with grades 7 to 12 in public schools for seven years. This was followed by home schooling for nine years. Since 1996, Mrs. Miller has taught in Christian schools.

She received her degree in English from Southern Nazarene University along with a minor in Education/Religion. Mrs. Miller especially values the opportunity to watch young people develop Christ-like character.

Of Augustine Christian Academy, Mrs. Miller says: “It has been proven to me again and again that you cannot separate character and academic achievement. ACA has allowed me the privilege of showing the difference between right and wrong and building Godly character in young people. It is wonderful to give my energies to something which I believe, with the added advantage of seeing some of the results now!”
