Dear Parents,
VERY IMPORTANT NEW ENROLLMENT INFORMATION
ENROLL NOW!!! It is very important to reserve your student’s seat in class. This applies to grammar school students as well as middle school and high school students. Classes will close in the grammar school at 18 students per classroom. Middle school will close at 20 students per class/subject and high school will close at 22 students per class/subject.
Please note that the numbers for middle school and high school are students per subject. Because we have part-time students and certain subjects may fill up quickly, enrolling now is very important. In past years when we didn’t have full classes, you had the luxury of waiting to enroll, but that is no longer our option. Our classrooms only hold a limited number of students, so we are pressured by space to limit the number who can enroll in any given subject. For example, American History will be limited to 22 students, as will Algebra I, and Biology, and Performing Arts, etc. The bottom line is that our current families need to re-enroll NOW.
The enrollment fee is now $100 per family instead of per student. The $100 enrollment fee is non-refundable but will be applied to your tuition for 2009-2010. We are asking our current ACA families to enroll their students by March 15th, because Open Enrollment will begin March 16th for new families who wish to enroll their students. After June 30th, both current families and new families will be charged an additional non-refundable $100 Late Enrollment Fee.
We already know that several of our classes will hit the limit of students, so it is vital that returning students are enrolled to reserve their place in the classes. Please do not wait! Access to filled classes will be on a waiting list basis only.
Open Houses – Please see the enclosed flyer concerning our Open House dates. Please help us enroll new students by inviting families you know who would like to hear about the educational opportunities at ACA. YOU are our best advertisement – word of mouth. Our teachers will be available on the Open House dates to speak with prospective families. If you have friends who are unable to attend one of the Open House dates, let them know that they can just call the school and schedule a time to come for a tour or schedule a day for their student to “shadow” a currently enrolled student.
Next Year – 2009-2010 will be an exciting year! Plans for the new school year are already underway, including the opportunity for band instrument instruction.
Upcoming Events:
March 10th – National Latin Exam at 8:00 a.m. for all ACA Latin students.
March 12th-25th – ACA sponsored trip to Israel. Twelve students and ten adults (faculty, parents, & relatives) will be on this educational tour.
March 16th-20th – Spring Break – No school.
April 8th – Spring portrait day
April 10th – Good Friday – No school.
April 16th-19th – ACA musical, Disney’s “Beauty & the Beast”. Watch for ticket information!
We’re growing and we are excited about how the Lord continues to meet our needs. Please continue to pray for our finances for the remainder of this school year, as well as finances for some projects this summer. We need to move several walls for classroom space, redo the floors in the auditorium, lunch room, and kitchen, and do some remodeling in the kitchen. Summer is a very busy time for us as we prepare for the new school year, which will begin on Monday, August 17th.
Help us by enrolling your students now, telling your friends and family about our upcoming Open House dates, and attending the Family Meeting next Tuesday, March 3rd. And as always, please pray for ACA – our Board of Governors, our administrators, our faculty & staff, and our ACA students and their families.
Sincerely,
Larry J. Ehrlich, D. Phil.
