Parent Meeting

There will be a meeting of parents of the students in our History of Middle Ages and Early English Literature classes this Thursday evening at 8:00 p.m. in room 19. We would appreciate it if at least one parent of each student who is in these classes could be present at this meeting.

Final Friday

The final Friday of school in November is the 17th. That will be a Spirit Wear day for everyone (no coupon required) and the Houses will play Grail Ball.

Tickets for "Scrooge - the Musical"

Tickets are on sale now in the school office! You will not want to miss this Christmas production at SAA. Get your tickets early, before the performances are sold out. Call 832-4600 for performance times and ticket prices. Posters for advertising are available in the office.

Grandparents Day

Our annual Grandparents Day program will be held on Wednesday, November 22. There will be refreshments, a special program, and visits to the classrooms. Plan now to invite grandparents and special "grandfriends" to attend. Parents, aunts, and uncles are also welcome! School will be dismissed at noon that day (following the program) for our Thanksgiving break. There will not be after school care available, so please make arrangements to pick your students up at noon.

"Scrooge" Set Work Days

The next two Saturdays, November 18 & 25 from 9:00 - 2:00, will be work days for building the set of "Scrooge." Many hands are needed - no experience necessary. If you can donate a few hours, please join us! Parents, friends, and students are welcome!

Attention "Scrooge" Cast

An additional rehearsal has been scheduled for the Saturday following Thanksgiving, November 25th. If you will be in town, please make plans to attend this rehearsal from 9:00 - 1:00. This includes all children in the cast as well.

Cast members, you should bring your shoes/boots that you are wearing for the play with you to rehearsal this Saturday, November 18. Men need black shoes, perferably with laces. Ladies need black boots, laces or buttons, preferably ankle or calf length. You do not have to purchase new shoes, you can find shoes for the play in any thrift store - check at Gatesway, Goodwill, and Salvation Army stores.

Truth Institute

The Truth Institute sponsored by Rev. Bruce Delay continues this Friday evening in our auditorium. Mr. Ken Sellers will be speaking on the topic "US Constitution vs UN Charter" and Rev. Delay will speak on "Applying your Bible to Current Events." The session begins at 6:30 p.m. and all are welcome to attend. Next Friday evening the speaker will be SAA parent Katherine Price on the topic of "Globalizing Oklahoma." Call the office for more information.

Community Club Awards

Community Club Awards booklets were handed out today and are available in the school office. Receipts and other proofs of purchase can be put in the black "Golden Garbage" can in the office. A big THANK YOU to Mrs. Ellen Asher and Mrs. Karen Aspenson for volunteering to coordinate this ongoing fund raiser.

Items Needed

The Music/Drama department is in desperate need of clothing racks for the MANY costumes in "Scrooge." A contribution of $70 will purchase a heavy duty rack that will last for many years! You can leave your tax deductible contribution in the school office, if you would like to help in this way. The school is also in need of vacuum cleaners that are in good repair. If you have an extra working vacuum that you can spare, think about bringing it to SAA.

Campbells Labels & Boxtops for Education

Please continue bringing in your labels and boxtops! Turn them in to the school office. SAA can redeem these for items the school can use. Please note: Campbells now requires the UPC code part of the label instead of the front of the label. Many, many products have the Boxtops for Education and Campbells Labels for Education - watch for them when you shop!
