FINAL EXAM DAYS
First semester final exams will be on December 16, 17, & 18. All grades will be dismissed at 2:00 on December 16th, and at noon on December 17 & 18. No lunch will be available on Thursday or Friday, and there will be no after school care on Friday. The school office will close at 12:30 on Friday, December 18th, for Christmas Break. Please make arrangements to have your children picked up at noon Friday, the 18th. All tests, quizzes, homework, etc. should be made-up before Friday, December 18th. “NUTCRACKER” DVD’S
YES, we will have dvd’s of “The Nutcracker”! The dvd’s cost $20 and must be pre-paid. To order your copy (or copies), stop in the school office this week. Please make checks payable to Kenneth Jones. Information on ordering cast photos will be coming soon!
PARENT’S NIGHT OUT
To help raise money for the upcoming Eastern Seaboard trip, the juniors & seniors will be offering “Parent’s Nights Out” beginning this Friday. This is a great opportunity for you to leave your children with young, energetic students so you can finish that last minute shopping, or just to enjoy dinner with other adults! Dates will be from Friday, December 18 through Wednesday, December 23. No hourly fee, but donations are welcome! Please contact Rhonda Morgan at 492-5519 to reserve your spot. Childcare will be provided in a home with an adult present.
ACA ALUMNI DAY 2010
On Friday, January 8, 2010, ACA will be honoring our growing number of alumni with a special visitor’s day. We will be following the schedule below to give us plenty of time to introduce alumni to our current students, see a slide show of great school memories, hear from alumni about what God is doing in their lives, and enjoy a time of food and fellowship. Because we are catering in the food for the luncheon, we need to have a fairly accurate count of who is coming. We are asking all alumni to RSVP by Wednesday, January 6th. Christmas Break begins this weekend! It seems early to be ordering lunches for January, but the January lunch order form needs to be turned in by this Friday, December 18th, if you are ordering for the month. Pick up an order form in the office or get one by clicking HERE.
CONGRATULATIONS
Congratulations to Kodie Washington, Elizabeth Freeland, and Anthony Conroy! These three Dialectic students won First, Second, and Third Place respectively in the Veterans of Foreign Wars’ Patriot’s Pen Essay Contest. Kodie’s essay goes on to the state competition! ACA is very proud of these students!
FAMILY GAME NIGHT
The students who are going on the Junior/Senior trip to the Eastern Seaboard will be hosting a Family Game Night on Friday, January 15th, at 7:00 p.m. as a fundraiser for their trip in March. Plan to come and spend a fun evening together! There will be games available for every age group, including the little ones under age 5! We will have face painting as well as group games. YOU may win a gift card in the drawing! The students will have meal ticket cards for sale as well. Admission: age 11 and up $3, age 10 and under $1, family maximum $12. Concessions will be available.
