PARENTS OF SENIORS MEETING

Graduation will be here before we know it and there are several things our Seniors and their parents need to know to plan for this great event. There will be a meeting for all parents of ACA seniors on Sunday, February 21st, at 4:00 p.m. in the ACA auditorium. If your student is a senior this year, PLEASE make every effort to attend.

COFFEE HOUSE

Beginning Friday, February 19th, the Entrepreneurial Studies class will be operating a Coffee House in our Performing Arts building on Wednesdays and Fridays after school, 3:30 – 5:00. Assorted coffees, teas, and hot chocolates will be available for purchase. The coffee house will be open to grades 9 – 12 only and any parents who would like a hot beverage. Prices will be very reasonable. On Wednesdays the coffee house will maintain a quiet “study” atmosphere and on Fridays it will have a more “fun” atmosphere. Watch for an email containing the rules and sign in/sign out procedures for the Coffee House. Questions? Call the school office: 832-4600.

INVISIBLE CHILDREN

Next Wednesday, February 24th, we will be hosting a group from Invisible Children of Uganda who will be presenting a program for our secondary students. This will take place in the ACA auditorium beginning at 9:15 a.m. Parents, friends, and pastors are welcome to attend. For more information please see: THEIR WEB SITE or watch this VIDEO.

CHAPEL ON MONDAY, FEBRUARY 22

On Monday, February 22nd, Dr. Ehrlich will be speaking to our high school students in chapel on the topic of “Dating”. During that same time, Mrs. Patty Schatzmann will be speaking to our Junior High students on the topic of “Setting Boundaries in Relationships”. Parents are welcome to attend either session. Parents of Junior High students who do not want their student to attend Mrs. Schatzmann’s session must contact the school office or send a note to excuse their student from attending.

MARCH LUNCH ORDERS

The March lunch order form is now available HERE and in the school office. If you are ordering lunches for the month of March, please return your order form and payment to the office by Friday, February 26th.

OPEN HOUSE DATES

Our spring Open Houses dates have been scheduled! Invite prospective families to come visit us during one of these scheduled times:

REFRIGERATOR NEEDED

We are in need of a “gently used” refrigerator for the kitchen of the Performing Arts building. A refrigerator would complete the kitchen in that building. We have already had a couple of events in that building when we really could have used a refrigerator out there, and soon the Coffee House will need one on a weekly basis. If you have one that you could donate to ACA, please call the school office.

“NUTCRACKER” DVD’S

YES, we have dvd’s of “The Nutcracker”! The dvd’s cost $20 and are available in the office. To get your copy (or copies), stop in this week. Please make checks payable to Kenneth Jones. Also, we have a limited supply of “Beauty & the Beast” dvd’s left from last spring and you can get one of those for only $10!

DATES FOR “SEVEN BRIDES FOR SEVEN BROTHERS”

PLEASE NOTE: The dates of our spring musical are different than was previously published on the school calendar. “Seven Brides for Seven Brothers” will be performed April 16, 17, & 18 and April 23, 24, & 25.

WINTER WEATHER SCHOOL CLOSINGS

When there is a Winter Storm Warning for the Tulsa area, please remember to watch for Augustine Christian Academy to be announced as closed, but keep in mind that if Tulsa Public Schools are closed for winter weather, ACA will be closed as well. We are returning to this policy to reduce confusion. ACA will be listed on Channels 2, 6, 8, & 23 and announced on AM radio 740 KRMG and 1170 KFAQ if we are closed.
