Augustine Christian Academy is happy to welcome over 60 new students this school year! We are so thankful that God has brought our new families to ACA! We are looking forward to an exciting school year.
CHARGER ROUND TABLE AT NEW LIFE RANCH
Permission slips and payment for Charger Round Table at New Life Ranch are due in the office by next Wednesday, August 19th. Extra permission slips are available in the office or by clicking here. We strongly encourage ALL 6th – 12th students to attend if at all possible. Call the office if you have any questions, 832-4600.
AMERICAN HERITAGE GIRLS
There will be an informational meeting for those interested in American Heritage Girls on Monday, August 24th, at 6:30 p.m. in the ACA Great Room. Please call Mrs. Dawn Smith at 234-2030 for more information if you cannot attend this meeting.
FAMILY GAME NIGHT
The students who are going on the Junior/Senior trip to the Eastern Seaboard will be hosting a Family Game Night on Friday, August 28th, as a fundraiser for their trip next spring. Plan to come and spend a fun evening together! YOU may win a gift card in the drawing! Admission: age 11 and up $3, age 10 and under $1, family maximum $12. Concessions will be available.
“NUTCRACKER” WORKSHOP & AUDITIONS
Students in grades 2 – 8 are invited to participate in “The Nutcracker” Workshop on Saturday, August 29. The workshop will begin at 9:00 a.m. and costs $25 ($35 at the door). Students will learn about choreography, costumes, make-up, auditioning, etc. Auditions for “The Nutcracker” will be held after school on September 1st & 3rd. No previous drama or dance experience is necessary! Please contact Mrs. Gale Post at 852-2040 for more information.
PARENT INVENTORY SHEETS
If you have not turned in your Parent Inventory/Volunteer Sheets yet, please turn them in at the school office as soon as possible. There are many opportunities for volunteering at ACA throughout the year, and we need our parents to be involved. Thank you so much for filling out those forms for us!

WE COULD NOT HAVE DONE IT WITHOUT YOU!!! A big THANK YOU to the many, many volunteers who helped with the building remodeling this summer. Countless hours were spent by parents, students, teachers, and alumni over the summer pulling up carpeting, re-doing floors, moving furniture & boxes, painting, tearing down walls, building new walls, putting in doors, replacing ceiling tiles, cleaning, etc., etc., etc. The building looks beautiful and we gladly credit all the volunteers for its transformation!
ACA STUDENTS SHINE AT SPOTLIGHT THEATER
One parent and six of our ACA students are appearing this month in “The Wizard of Oz” at the Spotlight Theater in Tulsa. The theater is located on Riverside Drive. For ticket information call 587-5030.
LUNCHES
We will begin bringing in lunches on Monday, August 24th. Until then, please pack lunches. Click here for a list of lunches available this year. For the first week we will be ordering each morning. Watch next week’s Charger for a monthly lunch order form for September.
“WIZARD OF OZ” FAMILY SING-A-LONG
Come celebrate the 70th anniversary of the “Wizard of Oz” with ACA! Watch the movie and sing a long! Come dressed as your favorite character from the film for our costume contest! Everyone will receive a fun pack and the song lyrics, and you will want to have an Oz Dog or Munchkin bar while you watch the movie. Tickets are on sale now in the school office: $6 per person with a maximum of $25 per family.
