“FOLLOW THE YELLOW BRICK ROAD”

Join us for the “Wizard of Oz” Family Sing-A-Long on Friday, September 11th, at 6:30 p.m. in the Great Room at ACA. Watch the movie on the BIG SCREEN and sing all the songs through out the movie. All guests receive a Yellow Brick Road Survival Bag containing a map to Oz, lyrics to all the songs, and other fun items to help you reach the Emerald City safely. Come dressed as your favorite character! Prizes will be awarded for the best look-a-like and most creative costume! Enter our jitterbug contest (during intermission) and win prizes. Come early and enjoy dinner or snacks from the Emerald City Concession Stand (hot dogs, chili/cheese dogs, the OZ DOG, Salad-on-a-stick, pickles, potato salad, munchkin bars, popcorn, and more). The doors open at 5:30. Tickets are on sale now in the school office: $6 per person, $25 maximum per family. Proceeds benefit the upcoming production of “The Nutcracker”.

SPIRIT WEAR SHIRTS

We are ordering spirit wear shirts again this year! The design is different than in the past couple of years and we are adding a hoodie this year for those cold fall and winter spirit wear days. Order forms are available “here” or in the school office. Orders and payment are due in the office by September 11th.

“THE NUTCRACKER” PARENT MEETING

YEARBOOK PICTURE DAY

ALL students will need to be photographed for the 2009-2010 ACA yearbook. The photographer will be here the morning of Friday, September 11th, and will begin taking pictures at 8:00 a.m. Part-time students can drop in that morning before 9:30 and get their picture taken. Students should wear their colored polo shirt for their picture. Watch for more information and order envelopes to be sent home with students.

AFTER SCHOOL STUDENT PICK-UP

Please follow the directions given by our traffic attendants (wearing orange vests) when picking up students after school. The attendants have been instructed to keep traffic flowing in the manner we believe is best at this time. If you have any questions or concerns about the afternoon traffic flow and pick-up procedure, please call the office instead of asking the traffic attendants.
