SPIRIT WEAR SHIRTS
We are ordering spirit wear shirts again this year! The design is different than in the past couple of years and we are adding a hoodie this year for those cold fall and winter spirit wear days. Order forms are available “here” or in the school office. Orders and payment are due in the office by this Friday, September 11th.
“THE NUTCRACKER” PARENT MEETING
At least one parent of each cast member in “The Nutcracker” must attend a one hour meeting on Thursday, September 10th, 4:00 – 5:00 p.m. in the ACA Great Room, unless you attended the Tuesday meeting. If you have any questions, please call Mrs. Gale Post at 852-2040.
YEARBOOK PICTURE DAY
ALL students will need to be photographed for the 2009-2010 ACA yearbook. The photographer will be here the morning of Friday, September 11th, and will begin taking pictures at 8:00 a.m. Part-time students can drop in that morning before 9:30 and get their picture taken. Students should wear their colored polo shirt for their picture. Portrait order envelopes were sent home with students last week. Additional envelopes are available in the school office.
TUITION PAYMENTS
Just a reminder, if you have not yet made arrangements for paying your 2009-2010 tuition, you MUST do so as soon as possible. Please stop by the school office to pick up a FACTS form for monthly payments, or to pay the first semester, or to pay in full.
AFTER SCHOOL STUDENT PICK-UP
Please follow the directions given by our traffic attendants (wearing orange vests) when picking up students after school. The attendants have been instructed to keep traffic flowing in the manner we believe is best at this time. If you have any questions or concerns about the afternoon traffic flow and pick-up procedure, please call the office instead of asking the traffic attendants.
LATIN CLUB
Latin Club is starting soon! Latin Club is for students in grades 7 – 12 who have an interest in the ancient world. Miss Shields is planning some fun activities (building a chariot, toga parties, etc.) and field trips for the Latin Club this year. Students should see Miss Shields for more information.
FALL TALENT SHOW
The juniors and seniors are sponsoring a Fall Talent Show to raise money for their spring trip to the Eastern Seaboard (Boston, New York City, Philadelphia, Washington DC). ALL AGES WELCOME! See senior Miriam Brennecke for audition forms or more information. The show will be held on Friday, September 25th, at 7:00 p.m. in the ACA Great Room.
ON-GOING FUND RAISERS
ACA participates in several on-going fund raising projects, including Campbells Soup labels, General Mills Box Tops for Education, and Tyson Chicken A+ labels. Please collect these and bring them to the school office. We can redeem them for classroom supplies or cash. We also participate in the Office Depot 5% Back to Schools program: just ask the clerk to credit our school at check out (#70120398). Target’s Take Charge of Education program is another one our school is involved in, so if you use a Target credit card ask that ACA get credit for your purpose. And if you shop online, please visit the Boxtops web site and begin your online shopping there. Call the ACA office if you have any questions.
