Visit ACA's Americana Festival this coming Saturday to celebrate our great country and raise funds for our students in need. Experience the transformation of each classroom into a different display of our country's history and its many achievements.
Our students are researching and creating displays in areas such as inventions, music, athletics, military history, natural wonders, and more to both excite and inspire you. Every display room will have topic-related items offered in silent auction.
Some of the rooms will feature VIP visitors. Mrs. Schwenk's K4/K5 class has the following highlights planned:
9:30 - 9:40 a.m. Pastor Al Humphrey, TU Hall of Fame member and former Pittsburgh Steeler (interview on stage with Chuck Stophel, ACA Development Coordinator)
9:50 - 10:00 a.m. Ryan Humphrey, professional basketball player
10:00 - 11:00 a.m. Hornsby from the Tulsa Drillers will sign baseballs (50 balls available for purchase, $3 each)
11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. ORU Soccer Coach, Steve Hayes, will have three players on hand to give an informal soccer clinic. A one-week summer soccer clinic for all ages will be available in auction.
OU autographed football helmet offered in auction, signed by Josh Heupel, National Championship Winner, and OU Quarterback Coach
OU autographed football offered in auction, signed by Allen Patrick, D. J. Wolfe, and Curtis Lofton (The players signed the football for Mrs. Schwenk, K4/K5 teacher, when she visited Sports Fanattic.)
This is only one class's sampling of its offerings for the day. Join us and experience all that is planned for our visitors.
The goal for this fundraiser is $5000. Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for students. We hope to see you April 19!
