Years ago, as a small child, I waited eagerly for the splashes of color from Tinkerbell’s wand that signaled the opening of the Wonderful World of Disney. Often Walt Disney himself would present the plans for a new adventure to open at Disneyland and I would pester my parents to take me there. Mr. Disney called the creative team he had assembled his “Imagineers,” and the level of quality they achieved has been imitated (and seldom matched) the world over.

We are limited here at ACA by our space and funds, and yet in a very real sense, we are limited only by the size of our imagination and our faith in the omnipotent God who has called us. Five years ago, I had a dream of removing the small offices in the south balcony to create a beautiful library. Finally, due to the dedication and hard work of several individuals, that project will soon be finished.

I want to do some exciting things now for our elementary students, but I need our own group of ACA “Imagineers.” If you have a desire to see some exciting developments here, a great imagination, and you are not afraid of hard work, please contact the school office and join me on the “Imagine Team”. We will be thinking of ways to best use our property and resources to maximize the results for our students. How can we best prepare the grassy area south of our building to be used as a multipurpose field for sports and games? How can we re-arrange classroom usage to not only allow for the growth we are experiencing, but create areas for great art and music program development? How could we best use the area where the annex now stands? These are just a few of the questions we will explore. Some of the things we may touch on will involve major construction, while others may involve simple beautification. The idea is to put our heads together and see what happens!

Walt Disney said Disneyland would never be completed. As long as God guides us in this adventure, may ACA never be finished seeking what new thing He would have us do. If this expresses your heart, please come join us! Call and tell me you want to be part of the “Imagine Team”.
