WINTER COURT

A HUGE THANK YOU to the many parent volunteers who helped with Winter Court. We couldn’t have done it without your help! Special thanks go to Mrs. Lorraine Roderick for heading up the volunteer staff. You all made it a very special evening for our students. MONDAY LUNCH ORDERS

Burger King is coming to ACA on Mondays beginning next Monday, February 9th. Students will need to order that morning. Lunch items available from Burger King will be: Whopper $3.00; Cheeseburger $1.25; Chicken Fries (6) $2.00; Side Salad $1.25.

PARKING LOT PROCEDURES

PARENTS AND STUDENT DRIVERS: It seems we have forgotten some of our parking lot procedures! Please remember to enter our parking lot from 30th Street and pull around to the back to drop off students. DO NOT PARK OR STOP IN THE DRIVEWAY! Stopping in the driveway blocks traffic on 30th Street as others are unable to turn into the drive. Please drop off students in the back of the building, or park in the Shriner’s lot and walk your student across the street. When leaving the ACA parking lot, please exit through the Sherwin Williams lot onto Sheridan Ave. DO NOT ENTER THE ACA LOT FROM SHERIDAN AVE. We have had several “close calls” in the mornings because student drivers are entering the lot from Sheridan as parents are exiting the lot. After school, please do not park & leave your car in the “pick up” lanes. If you need to speak to a teacher or wait for your student, please pull into a parking space. Thank you all so much for your cooperation in these matters.

VALENTINE’S DAY

Our Performing Arts Valentine’s Day fundraisers are getting underway. To schedule a singing Valentine for someone you love, please go here Singing Valentines. Singing Valentine’s will be delivered on February 13 & 14 but time slots are limited, so schedule yours now! Also next week the Valentine Shop will open in the auditorium. Plan to stop by the shop and send a special Valentine gift to your favorite student to be delivered on Feb. 13th.

PRESIDENTS DAY

There is no school in Monday, February 16th, due to Presidents Day.

RE-ENROLLMENT FOR 2009/2010

Watch the mail for your re-enrollment forms! Currently enrolled families should return their enrollment forms by March 15th to reserve their student’s place in their class. After March 15th, we will be accepting new students for next year.

FIVE WEEK PROGRESS REPORTS

Five week progress reports will be distributed to students this Friday. Please ask to see your student’s progress report. Remember, you can always check your student’s grades online with the Gradenet program.

OPEN HOUSE DATES SET

ACA has scheduled some Open House dates for prospective families. Please help us spread the word about the following Open House times:

Monday, March 2nd, 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.

Wednesday, March 11th, 1:00 – 4:00 p.m.

Monday, March 30th, 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.

WINTER WEATHER

When winter weather strikes the Tulsa area, please listen to KFAQ 1170 or KRMG 740 on the radio, or watch the local TV channels for school closing announcements. Augustine Christian Academy will be announced if we are closed, however please remember that if Tulsa Public Schools are closed for weather, ACA will also be closed that day as well. Please do not call the teachers or administration on snowy mornings to ask if ACA is having school.

DONUTS & COFFEE ON FRIDAYS

On Fridays you can have your breakfast at ACA! The yearbook staff will be offering donuts and coffee for sale on Friday mornings from 7:15 – 7:55. Coffee is $1 and donuts are $.50 or $.75.

RAISE FUNDS FOR ACA WHILE YOU SHOP ONLINE

When shopping online, you can earn money for ACA by STARTING your shopping at Box Tops for Education Marketplace. Our school will receive a donation of up to 8% back on every qualifying purchase, up to $20,000 per year, at no additional cost to anyone. For more information, see the article on the ACA web site.
