WINTER COURT

Winter Court, ACA’s formal banquet for grades 9-12, will be held on the evening of Friday, January 30th. Tickets are on sale now and are $32 per person. Seating is limited, so students should not wait until the last minute to get their ticket! All students in grades 9-12 are encouraged to attend Winter Court. All grades will be dismissed that day at noon - there will not be lunch and after school care will not be available. Please see the class schedule here.

SPIRIT WEAR/WORK DAYS

There is much to be done to prepare the auditorium for Winter Court next Friday, so Mr. Post has scheduled some Winter Court Work Time into the secondary school schedule on January 23rd, January 29th, and February 2nd. The revised class schedule for those days is here. Those three days, as well as the final Friday, January 30th, will be Spirit Wear days. The grammar school students will not be helping prepare for Winter Court, but will included in the Spirit Wear days. Call the office if you have any questions.

EBENEZER OPERATION EXODUS

You are invited to hear about the work of Ebenezer Operation Exodus through representatives Merrill and Donna Bolender on Thursday, January 22, 7:00 p.m. in the ACA auditorium. The Bolenders have been involved in Jewish ministry since 1980. They lived and worked in Israel during the 1980s. They began reading about the work of Ebenezer Operation Exodus in assisting Jews out of Russia. In 2002, the Bolenders attended an Ebenezer Conference where the Lord confirmed that they were to be involved in this ministry. They applied to be volunteers and in 2004 they went on five sailings from the Ukraine to Israel with Jewish immigrants. The Bolenders now serve as representatives of Ebenezer Operation Exodus in the USA and serve on a National Development team. For more information call Mary Ehrlich at 918-622-9573. For further information on Ebenezer Operation Exodus go to their web site.

ISRAEL TRIP MEETING

There is a teaching meeting this Sunday, January 25th, at 3:00 p.m. in the ACA auditorium. This is a required meeting for those going to Israel in March. Please bring your Bible!

LIBRARY DEDICATION

Next Tuesday night, January 27th, at 6:30pm, we will have a great opportunity to come together as families and have a fireside chat to catch parents up on some of the happenings at ACA, and celebrate and dedicate our new library together. The meeting should last just one hour, so we ask that you try to be on time. Afterward we will have a time of fellowship and snacks. We are encouraging everyone to attend if at all possible. It will be fun and hopefully exciting, but it won’t be complete unless you are there!

FEBRUARY LUNCH ORDERS

Watch for February lunch order forms next week. There’s a change coming to Monday lunches.

It would be great if someone could commit to getting ACA listed on tv news stations when we have closures due to weather. Although we follow Tulsa public, having the school listed is great (free) advertising for the school.

I have found many private schools never heard of before by seeing them scroll.

Stacy, I agree whole heartedly. I will look into that. Thanks for the idea.

Mrs. Rippy & Andrew, we already do call Channel 2 and Channel 6. We have contacted channels 8 and 23 already and are awaiting their "school closing procedure"... each channel and radio station has their own code word, etc. for calling in to close school.
