SHERIDAN ROAD CONSTRUCTION

The city of Tulsa has notified us that the construction on Sheridan will continue until December. If you come from the BA expressway, we suggest turning left on 31st St. and then right onto Joplin, right onto 30th Place and follow that to the school.

CHARGER ON-LINE

In an effort to save on the cost of paper and copies, the Charger will no longer be handed out to each student on Wednesdays beginning the week after Spring Break. It will be posted on the ACA web site each Wednesday afternoon. A limited number of paper copies will be available in the school office each week if you prefer a hard copy. An e-mail with a link to the Charger will be sent each week. If you are not on our e-mail list, you can send your e-mail address to: office@acatulsa.org to be added. You can also subscribe to the RSS newsfeed at our web site and stay updated that way.

LUNCH ORDERS

March lunch order forms were attached to the Charger today. You can get one by clicking here.

OPEN HOUSE DATES

Help us spread the word about Augustine Christian Academy. Open House flyers are available in the school office if you would hand them out at your church, daycare, or place of employment. Word of mouth advertising is the best advertising, but we need your help to do it! We have more Open House times scheduled: February 24 and March 3 & 5.

TALENT SHOW

The Class of 2008 is sponsoring a Talent Show on Saturday, March 1st. All ACA students are welcome to be in the Talent Show. All acts must be previewed and approved. Registration is $3 per act and registration forms are available in the office. Plan now to attend the Talent Show! You won’t want to miss it! Admission will be $5 for adults and $3 for students. Take a look at highlights from last year’s talent show.

MUSIC MAN COSTUMES

Calling all costume helpers: we will be working on costumes for “The Music Man” during rehearsals from 3:00 to 6:00 each Tuesday and Thursday. There are 49 students in the cast with several having costume changes. A lot of costumes will need to be “made from scratch” for this musical in addition to the costumes from our “closet” that will need alterations. There are also a lot of gluing projects this time (for those who don’t sew.) If your student is in “The Music Man” we would love to have your help! If you can’t come on Tuesdays and Thursdays, there are some things you could work on at home. Call Mrs. Geppelt at 482-2702 or 808-3490 to volunteer.

YEARBOOKS & DOUGHNUTS

Our yearbook staff has an offer for you that is hard to pass up! Our students can sell Krispy Kreme Kards and earn a FREE yearbook! Sign up with Mrs. Brewer in the computer lab! See the attached flyer to advertise in the yearbook.

NATIONAL LATIN EXAM

Our secondary Latin students will participate in the National Latin Exam on Tuesday, March 11 beginning at 8:00 a.m. This exam is given to secondary Latin students across the country.

FENCING SCHOLARSHIPS

Due to the generosity of one of our patrons, there are two 50% fencing scholarships available for each House. This is a great opportunity for eight of our students to get involved in a great sport! Call Mr. Post for more information about this opportunity.
