AMERICANA DAY

Saturday, April 19th, is our Americana Day Festival. Our students are required to be here since this will be one of our “ice storm make up days”. Invite your homeschooling friends, neighbors, and family members to join us for this event. Doors open at 9:00 a.m. and the event will end at 3:00 p.m. Admission is $5 for adults & $3 for students not enrolled at ACA. All classrooms will be decorated and have displays centered on a specific theme. Themes include: sports, music, literature, inventors, natural wonders, military, and more. There will be special guests throughout the day including Hornsby from the Tulsa Drillers. Each classroom will have silent auction items that follow their theme. Concession items will be available.

RE-ENROLLMENT

Re-enrollment forms and FACTS tuition payment forms were mailed out to each family. Please help us by returning your re-enrollment forms to the office as quickly as possible so class plans can be made for next year. Financial aid applications are now available in the office. Remember that financial aid is not automatic and must be applied for each year.

YEARBOOKS

This year we will have an all color, hardback yearbook! If you order your yearbook before April 25, you will receive a $5 discount. Go to our home page and click on the yearbook icon to order your yearbook, or order in the office.

ENJOY “THE MUSIC MAN” AGAIN AT HOME

Order your photo cd and performance dvd of the ACA production of “The Music Man” in the school office. Photo cd’s are $10 and the performance dvd is $20. For a sneak peek at the photos and the dvd, go here.

THANK YOU

“The Music Man” was a huge success thanks to Mrs. Gale Post and her crew: Mr. Kirk Brewer, Mrs. Dawn Redden, Mrs. Linda Geppelt, and Mr. Kenneth Jones. A BIG thank you also goes to the many, many parents and siblings who helped with “The Music Man”. Volunteers helped with costumes, set building, set painting, props, serving food, manning the concession tables, cleaning up, etc. We couldn’t have done it without the many hours of volunteer labor!

OKLAHOMA DAY HOODED SWEATSHIRTS

We have a few Oklahoma Day hoodies available for the bargain price of $10. Youth sizes XL, L, & S are still available in the ACA office.

SPORTS PICTURES

Parents, did you play a sport in high school or college? Students, do you currently play a sport? The K4/K5 class is using a sports theme for Americana Day and they would love to display your sports pictures and/or jerseys. Contact Mrs. Schwenk in the kindergarten classroom if you have pictures or jerseys you can loan them.

DIALECTIC TRIP

The information and permission slips for the Dialectic trip to Texas have been sent home. The cost is $160 per student. Permission slips and payment can be turned in at the school office. Contact Mrs. Miller with any questions.

FIVE WEEK PROGRESS REPORTS

Five week progress reports will be sent home with students on Friday, April 18th. Parents: be sure to ask to see your student’s progress report.
