AMERICANA FESTIVAL

This Saturday, April 19th, is the Americana Festival. Our students have been hard at work making displays that honor the achievements and culture of our country. The admission price for the Festival is $5 for adults, $3 for students and free for children 4 and under. Bring your camera as there will be great photo opportunities available! Doors open to the public at 9:00 a.m. All classrooms will be decorated and have displays centered on a specific theme. Themes include: sports, music, literature, inventors, natural wonders, military, and more. There will be special guests throughout the day including Hornsby from the Tulsa Drillers. Special entertainment will take place in the auditorium throughout the day. Each classroom will have silent auction items or baskets that follow their theme. These include: OU baskets, OSU baskets, specialty food baskets, book baskets, candle baskets, gift items, restaurant certificates, Discoveryland tickets, and much, much more. A coffee shop and concession items will also be available.

SCHOOL MAKE-UP DAY - APRIL 19

The Americana Festival is a make up day from the ice storm and all ACA students are expected to be here. Many are helping out in ways that require costumes. Students are expected to be in regular school uniform unless they are wearing a costume approved by their teacher. Students from ACA are admitted free and adults who are working should receive a badge from the teacher they are helping that will admit them as well. Our students, teachers, and parent volunteers should be here at 8:30 a.m. Call the school office with any questions.

FESTIVAL PREPARATION

Display set up for the Americana Festival must be completed by Friday night. The building will be open until 9 PM for that purpose. Volunteers are needed to make sure everything is in place and ready for Saturday morning.
