ULTIMATE FAMILY MEETING & MOVIE NIGHT

Tuesday, October 14th, please join us for dinner, a family meeting, and a movie.

Dinner: 5:00 – 6:00 p.m. We will be selling a slice of pizza, salad, and pop for $2.50 per person; items will also be available a la carte.

Family Meeting: 6:00 – 6:30 p.m. We will quickly preview our upcoming events including our Ultimate Legacy fundraising event, and the “Beauty & the Beast” workshop. We will highlight ways for you to be involved in these events.

Movie: 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. We will be showing “The Ultimate Gift” (PG) following the meeting for those who would like to stay. This movie is based on the best selling book written by Jim Stovall, our keynote speaker at the Ultimate Legacy fundraiser. We’ll have popcorn and concessions available during the movie.

House Points: It’s the end of the quarter and each House is racing to finish first! Students will receive FIVE points for their House for EACH adult they bring on Tuesday night. Grandparents, aunts, uncles, and older siblings (out of high school) will all count!

PSAT/NMSQT

ACA requires all of our 11th graders to take the PSAT, including our part-time 11th graders. The PSAT is the National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test and will be given at ACA on Wednesday, October 15th. There is no testing fee for ACA 11th grade students. The PSAT will begin at 8:00 a.m. on October 15th, so students should be here at 7:45 a.m. that morning.

THE ULTIMATE LEGACY

Come be inspired by Mr. Jim Stovall, author of “The Ultimate Gift,” at our fall fund raising event on Friday, November 7th, at the Green Country Event Center. Enjoy the decadent dessert social, the silent & live auction, entertainment, and inspiration all in one night for only $25 per person. Tickets are on sale now in the school office or here.

ISRAEL TRIP MEETINGS

These meetings are required for all students going to Israel next spring or thinking of going. These teaching times are also open to anyone who simply want to know more about the land of Israel: history, politics, and people. Come prepared to learn and participate! The meeting dates are:

SCHOOL DIRECTORY NOW AVAILABLE

A directory of our ACA families and faculty members is now available in the school office. The directory includes addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses. Each family gets one free, and additional copies are $2.00.

FALL BREAK

Fall Break is next Thursday and Friday, October 16 & 17. There is no school those two days.

UNIFORM SALE

C & J School Uniforms is having their Fantastic Fall Sale October 1st – 15th. They are offering 15% off all NEW uniform items (in stock merchandise only). This is a great time to get long sleeve polo shirts, sweaters, slacks, and fleece jackets. Cooler weather will be here before we know it!

COME PRAY FOR ACA

Each Thursday at 12:45, a group of parents will be meeting for a time of prayer for our school, teachers, and students. Please consider joining with these parents each Thursday as you are able. They meet in room 201 and they finish by the time school is dismissed.

COMMUNITY SERVICE OPPORTUNITY

Each Thursday afternoon our secondary students have the opportunity to visit Lakewood Care Center and earn community service points for their Houses. Students must turn in their Volunteer Information Form and permission slips to Mrs. Miller before they can participate.
