Winter Court 2010 took place in the Augustine Christian Academy Great Room on the evening of Thursday, February 4th, after being postponed from January 29th due to bad weather. Seniors Philip Spencer and Emily Taylor were crowned the King & Queen of Winter Court and were led to their thrones by the head steward, 8th grader Sarah Smith. The evening’s festivities included savory and sweet hors d’oeuvres, delicious hot and cold beverages, The Queen’s Riddle, the traditional Knight’s Challenge, and the induction of new members into the New Order of Augustine, ACA’s alumni association. Seniors joining the New Order of Augustine this year were: Kyla Bloemker, Miriam Brennecke, Katelyn Karnuth, Kate Kennedy, Rachel Long, Savannah Ryon, Emily Taylor, Anna Tracy, Breana White, Michael Chorley, Derek Davis, Stewart Ellis, Alec Hill, Adam Jones, Benjamin Knorr, Doug Landers, Alex Shambrook, Philip Spencer, Caleb Weir, and Zachary Wilsterman. A new addition to Winter Court this year was the DJ, who played music throughout the evening and finished the evening for the students by playing dance music for them.
