The drive through Woolaroc's 3,700 acre nature preserve brought Mrs. Hale's class close to the animals and land Frank Phillips loved. Both children and adults got a personal treat viewing the many species of native and exotic wildlife, such as buffalo, elk, longhorn cattle, deer, and emus, which love to come close to the vehicles in the cooler weather. Filled with its expansive collection of western art and artifacts, Native American material, and one of the finest collections of Colt firearms in the world, the museum delighted the children and gave them plenty of room to roam and expend their energy. There was so much to see and do at Woolaroc that one visit was not enough to enjoy it all!
