Last Wednesday, January 24th, the secondary students attended a once in a lifetime exhibit from Israel called From Abraham to Jesus. The exhibit included replicas and ancient artifacts from the Middle East: clay pots, jewelry, bone boxes and trinkets. Displays on how the pieces had been recovered were filled with interesting facts. The highlight of the exhibit were the fragments of the Dead Sea scrolls. At the end of the show, a short 3-D video was played, explaining the region from where the artifacts had come, giving a glimpse into ancient life in the Middle East. Each student came away having learned something new about the historical context/ of the Old Testament.
