The New Order of Augustine, founded in 2001, is St. Augustineis Alumni Association. Each year at Winter Court, any qualifying Seniors who pass through a rigorous application and interview process are inducted into this order. This yearis Senior inductees were Elaine Bimba, Caleb Gayle, Kenneth Jones, Rose Lane, Kendra Mann, Katie Tracy, and Emily Yates. These seven students brought the number in the Order to over 50 members!
The Order was established as an attempt to keep Alumni connected with the school. Each student agrees to support the school, pray for the school, and attend a yearly meeting to stay involved and serve as an outside perspective to contribute any advice or encouragement they might have to offer to the students and staff. Each member is given a new name based on character qualities their peers feel they exhibit most. The Order hopes to establish a website this year in order to keep them even more up-to-date with everything that is happening within the school. Students within the school always look forward to visits from the Alumni, and we consider their involvement to be very encouraging and uplifting to our underclassmen and graduating Seniors.
