Sketching on Location at Gilcrease
Victoria Lane
Saturday, December 8 2007

High School art students enjoyed a field trip to sketch on the grounds of the Gilcrease Museum.  They had been studying perspective in its many forms from linear to atmospheric, and took a quick tour of the American galleries concentrating on the outstanding landscape examples and how various artists demonstrated perspective.  Picnic in the park preceded getting down to the business of drawing on location.  It was a beautiful fall day - just perfect for the task at hand!
