Winter Court 2008

Winter Court 2008 was held in the ACA auditorium on Friday, January 25th. The auditorium was decorated as a Russian castle with towers, lights, and “snow”. Mr. Kirk Post acted as emcee for the evening. Senior Mark Geppelt successfully pulled the sword from the stone and was crowned King and senior Genesis King’s name was discovered to be on the sword and she was crowned Queen of Winter Court. The Queen’s Riddle was presented by the new queen and was solved by alumni Rose Lane. The Knight’s Challenge was a Russian dance and the judges declared Philip Spencer to be the very best Russian dancer among the men in attendance. The delicious meal, prepared by Mr. & Mrs. Ron Miller and their crew of volunteers, was served to the attendees by students in the School of Dialectic. Six seniors were inducted into the alumni association, The New Order of Augustine. The new members are: Elizabeth Cole, Mark Geppelt, Briana King, Genesis King, Lydia Taylor, and Sarah Zigrang. The evening came to an end with the newly crowned King and Queen giving their toasts, and Mr. Jim Tracy closing the festivities with prayer.
