What a Winter Court! In years past, I haven’t been too excited about this event. I mean, sure the food is good, and the lights on the ceiling draped in clothe look really cool, but every year I went away with a feeling of disappointment. This year, however, was different. Was it because the honor of kingship was bestowed upon me that evening? Yes, but not in the way you might think. I was so blessed to have been the one to pull that sword from the stone, because it had a much deeper meaning to me than the paper mache of which the stone consisted of. It was a time of feeling the love that my entire school family had for me. A time where I didn’t have to think about all of my short comings, or the flaws of my character, but a time of seeing how those around me percieved me to have enough character to earn such an honor. Thank you SAA for the best Winter Court that I have ever attended.
