Approximate cost is $3,000 per person. Price includes round trip airfare from Tulsa, guesthouse and hotel accommodations, breakfasts and dinners, bus & driver, JCF guide, all entrance fees, tips and porterage.
The tour is open to ACA juniors and seniors, ACA graduates, teachers, parents, or friends of the ACA family. If you cannot join the tour, perhaps you would consider a scholarship to a junior or senior student at Augustine Christian Academy.
This short-term course is designed to enrich the biblical and spiritual awareness of each student with on-location experiences coupled with a healthy challenge to the physical and mental endurance levels. There will be nature hikes, climbs and swimming opportunities as well as serious Scriptural studies with a special regard for the words of Jesus in the physical settings of the Land of the Bible.
As we travel the land of Israel from “Dan to Beer Sheva” and even further into the southern wilderness, we will explore locations and themes of the Bible such as:
*Ancient Well-diggers and the Great Wilderness: northern Negev and southern Judea
*Spying Out the Land and The Spice Route: central and southern Negev
*Judean Wilderness: Masada, En Gedi, Qumran, Dead Sea
*Jordan Valley and to the Source of the Jordan River: Upper Galilee and Golan, including sites as Tel Dan, Banias (Caesarea Philippi), Nimrod Fortress
*Stringing Pearls with Jesus: Biblical sites around the Sea of Galilee, including boat ride
*Boyhood Home of Jesus: Nazareth, lower and central Galilee
*Crossroads and Conflicts: coastal plains including Caesarea, Mt Carmel
*Environs of Jerusalem: Model of Jerusalem from 2nd Temple period, Yad Vashem
*Jerusalem the Holy: historic and religious sites important to Jews, Christians, Muslims
*Jerusalem that Jesus Knew: Southern Wall Excavations, Western Wall tunnel and more
