NEW LIFE RANCH

August 23rd – 24th. It is very important for every student in grades 6 – 12, full time & part time, to attend Charger Round Table. This event builds community among the students and sets the tone for the school year. The cost this year will remain at $90 per student, which covers transportation, overnight lodging, four meals, and activities. Click below for a permission slip.

AUDITION WORKSHOP FOR WHITE CHRISTMAS

THIS FRIDAY, August 17, 3:30 – 9:00 p.m. (grades 9-12) The workshop AND the production of White Christmas is open to ALL students grades 9-12. NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED. The workshop is also FREE this year, but you must pre-register so that we know how many materials to print off and how much food to purchase for dinner. PERFORMING ARTS PARENT MEETING

Parent Meeting for parents of students in grades 4 – 12 If your child is planning to be in or thinking about being in “White Christmas” or “The Little Mermaid”, ONE PARENT MUST ATTEND THE CAST-PARENT INFORMATION MEETING ON SATURDAY, AUGUST 18TH FROM 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. in the ACA Great Room. Breakfast will be provided by the Performing Arts Booster Club.

AMERICAN HERITAGE GIRLS

American Heritage Girls Troop OK0002 Fall Registration Rally is scheduled for Monday, August 27th, from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. in the ACA Great Room. Troop OK0002 is chartered by ACA, and meets every Monday in the Performing Arts Building from 4:00 - 5:30 p.m. Our first meeting of the school year will be September 10TH. AHG is a non-profit organization dedicated to the mission of building women of integrity through service to God, family, community and country. The program is designed for girls ages 5-18. Our Troop currently has members in all levels of the program. WE’RE RECYCLING!

Mr. Murph is here! The nickname Murph comes from the name Material Recovery Facility (MRF) —what Tulsa Recycle and Transfer call their new facility and is the name of their recycling program. We have a bin next to our dumpster that handles all the recycling materials and every time we fill it, we get paid by Mr. Murph!

Here is what we can recycle:

Paper – any type of paper, newsprint, office paper, magazines, greeting cards, etc.

Plastics – #1 pet which is mostly clear bottles, #2 hdpe which is mostly opaque bottles, #4 hdpe which is mostly clear stretch wrap, shrink film and plastic sacks like Wal-Mart or Reasor’s sacks, #6 polystyrene—aka Styrofoam.

Cardboard – any type, new boxes, old boxes, corrugated, non-corrugated, even cereal boxes, any type without a heavy wax or plastic coating.

Metals – aluminum, steel, brass, copper, any type.

Note: Glass can only be dropped off at their recycling plant - not at our location and they prefer no lids on the plastic bottles.

We don’t have to separate any of it! We recycle and we get paid each time we fill the bin! It’s a win-win situation! Any one (parents, family, and friends) are welcome to use our bin! LUNCH INFORMATION

Beginning this Friday, we will have Freckles frozen custard for sale at lunchtime each Friday. The cost is $1.25 per cup and we have about 8 – 10 different flavors each week. Next Wednesday we will again offer CiCi’s Pizza at $1.25 per slice, but no other lunches during the week. We hope to start the full week of lunches August 27th. TULSA ROWING CLUB
