NEW LIFE RANCH

This afternoon the House officers and sponsors left for New Life Ranch. The rest of our secondary students and teachers leave at 8:00 a.m. tomorrow for Charger Round Table at New Life Ranch. DON’T BE LATE TOMORROW MORNING! Please keep them in your prayers as they travel there and back, and that their time together would be a wonderful time of fellowship. Our elementary students get to have the school to themselves for two days!

THANK YOU

A BIG THANK YOU to everyone who has donated copy paper, dry erase markers, and tissues! This helps us so much! We really appreciate your generosity!

WE’RE RECYCLING!

Mr. Murph is here! The nickname Murph comes from the name Material Recovery Facility (MRF) —what Tulsa Recycle and Transfer call their new facility and is the name of their recycling program. We have a bin next to our dumpster that handles all the recycling materials and every time we fill it, we get paid by Mr. Murph!

Here is what we can recycle: Paper – any type of paper, newsprint, office paper, magazines, greeting cards, etc., Plastics – #1 pet which is mostly clear bottles, #2 hdpe which is mostly opaque bottles, #4 hdpe which is mostly clear stretch wrap, shrink film and plastic sacks like Wal-Mart or Reasor’s sacks, #6 polystyrene—aka Styrofoam, Cardboard – any type, new boxes, old boxes, corrugated, non-corrugated, even cereal boxes, any type without a heavy wax or plastic coating, Metals – aluminum, steel, brass, copper, any type.

Note: glass can only be dropped off at their recycling plant - not at our location, and preferably no lids on the plastic bottles

We don’t have to separate any of it! We recycle and we get paid each time we fill the bin! It’s a win-win situation! Any one (parents, family, and friends) are welcome to use our bin! The more we fill it, the more we get paid! For more information about Mr. Murph or the recycling program, please see www.feedmrmurph.com

BOX TOPS, SOUP LABELS, TARGET, & OFFICE DEPOT

YES, we do the Box Tops and Campbell’s Labels fund raisers. Drop off your Box Tops and Labels in the school office. If you use a Target credit card, you can designate a percentage of your purchases to ACA and they will send us a gift card to use. (Target’s Take Charge of Education program has us listed as St. Augustine Christian Academy) Office Depot has a 5% Back to Schools program. Just tell the cashier that you would like to give credit to our school as you are checking out. They will look up our school and credit us with 5% of your purchase; then we receive a gift card from Office Depot. All of these are easy ways to help ACA get needed items for our classrooms!
