FINAL EXAMS

Final exams for first semester are this week. School will dismiss at 2:00 on the 20th, and at noon on the 21st. There will not be any lunch or afterschool care on Friday, December 21st and the school office will close at 12:30 that day. Secondary students need to attend only the class hours for which they are taking the final exam. The complete exam & dismissal schedule is attached below. The school office will re-open on January 4th.

“WHITE CHRISTMAS” DVD & PHOTO CD

KVJ Productions is producing a DVD of “White Christmas” which will be available in January. If you would like to order a DVD of this outstanding production, please call or stop by the school office before December 21st. The cost is $20 each and payment can be made in cash or check (please make checks payable to Kenneth Jones).

Photo CD’s are also available – they are $25 each and you may order those in the school office as well. There are also a limited number of the photo books still available in the school office for only $10 – one of those would make a great stocking stuffer for your cast member! (Please make checks payable to Denise Knorr.)

CHRISTMAS CARDS

There are still Christmas cards available in the school office. The artwork on the cards was created by our own ACA students! Cards are $10 for 12 cards. Stop by and take a look at them!

JANUARY LUNCH MENU

The monthly lunch menu for January is attached below. If your student is ordering for the month, please return the order form and payment by Monday morning, January 7th. Students may still order lunches each morning in their classroom. This monthly order form is for your convenience.

FROM THE ART TEACHER

When you are wrapping your Christmas gifts this year, please save the cardboard tube; and when you are baking, save your plastic frosting containers & lids! Mrs. Thornhill, ACA art teacher, needs them for art classes. She would also like you to save your fancy ribbons, buttons, feathers, and any other “bling” you might have left after Christmas wrapping and projects. Also, if you are purchasing any large appliances for Christmas, please bring the boxes to us! Mrs. Thornhill is having one of her classes create life size figures from the 18th century in January. You can drop off any of these items in the school office. Thanks!

MOMS PRAYER GROUPS

Have you wanted to join one of the prayer groups, but your schedule doesn’t allow you to be here every week? Does the idea of meeting with other ACA moms to pray for the teachers & ACA families appeal to you, but you weren’t sure when the groups were meeting? Coming in January, we are introducing a new once a month prayer group, which will meet the first Wednesday of each month at 2:15 p.m. (There is no school on the first Wednesday in January, so the very first monthly meeting will be held on January 9th.) The weekly prayer groups will not be meeting next week, but will resume on January 9th meeting every Wednesday at 8:15 a.m. and 2:15 p.m. in the Performing Arts Building.

WINTER WEATHER

It’s getting to be that time of year when snow and ice could hit the Tulsa area. We announce our school closing information on the local TV and radio stations as early as possible, but keep in mind that if Tulsa Public Schools are closed for bad weather, Augustine Christian Academy will be closed as well.

FROM THE TEACHERS & STAFF OF AUGUSTINE CHRISTIAN ACADEMY: WE WISH YOU A VERY BLESSED CHRISTMAS!
