Opening Night, April 10, is also a special evening for prospective parents with students in grades K – 8th. After the performance, they will be invited to meet the principals and take the tour of the school. We are reserving a block of tickets, so if prospective families contact us in advance, they can be our guests to the Thursday evening performance of School House Rock. If you have friends or family with children in this age bracket that are looking for a great school, have them contact the school office for the tour and performance on April 10th.

ANNUAL SPRING FUNDRAISER

FUNdraiser update from Mr. Ahrens: I want to thank our ACA families for making last Saturday’s Trivia Night a VERY fun and successful event! Clearly, we like to fellowship and have fun together at ACA. The evening was alive with laughter, good-natured ribbing and some pretty intense bidding on the many wonderful auction items. The team-play format provided opportunities to make new friends and I am grateful you were able to get to know more of our ACA family and friends! Special thanks to the Brewer family (Kirk, Deleise, Clare, Haden, Jared, and Kyleigh) for keeping the laughs rolling and the momentum building through all of the fun door prizes, point multipliers, and Live Auction excitement peppered throughout the trivia rounds! I also wish to thank Deb Spencer and Iris Culp for securing the majority of our door prizes and auction items! These were very well received and contributed greatly to the fun and success of the evening.

Even with a dramatic change in the event theme, we brought in over $17,000, which is equal to the amount we typically raise during our spring event. I am confident that we can build upon this success as we move into a new development phase here at ACA. We presented a brief Vision Quest and gave a sneak peak of some building plans for an expansion project we will be discussing in the near future. These plans were architectural renderings in a very preliminary stage and we are looking forward to showing them again in more detail when we launch our future development campaign. Thank you again for making Trivia Night an AMAZING night!

REME TESTING

ACA high school students must take the Rhetoric Grammar class or successfully pass the Rhetoric English Mastery Exam (REME) before graduating from ACA. The REME is usually given twice in the spring and twice in the summer. The cost of the REME testing is $50.00 for three opportunities to pass the test. Students who pass the test with an 80% or better score are not required to take our high school Rhetoric Grammar class. The next date for the REME this spring is Wednesday, April 23 at 4:00 p.m. Students must sign up in advance to take the REME and they can do that by stopping by the office or by emailing: [email protected]

PABC APPRECIATION NIGHT

Our final Performing Arts Booster Club membership meeting for the year will be combined with our cast parent appreciation night. We are planning a lovely dessert buffet and anticipating some entertainment by our very own ACA students. Mark your calendars and plan to attend on Tuesday evening, April 29. More details coming soon.
