DISNEY’S “PETER PAN”
We still have tickets available for the ACA production of Disney’s “Peter Pan” this weekend. Our Junior Performing Arts Company has been working hard during their practices and we know this will be a wonderful production! Don’t wait until the last minute! Tickets are $10 for adults and $7 for students. Doors will open 30 minutes prior to show time. Concessions (hot dogs, popcorn, candy, pop) will be available at each performance.
Many staff members at ACA and several students want to support the McIntosh family by attending the memorial service for Amy McIntosh on Wednesday, April 15th at 1:00 p.m. in the Howard Auditorium at Oral Roberts University. To make sure our students are still receiving instruction that day, we will have shortened classes according to the attached schedule that will be meeting before noon that day. At noon, students with parental permission, and staff members who wish, will be dismissed to attend the memorial service. Remaining staff will have planned activities for students who stay at school. Of course you may choose to pick up your child at noon if you wish. There will be afterschool care as usual. We appreciate your understanding in this matter. FACTS PAYMENT FORMS
The FACTS monthly payment forms for the 2015-2016 school year are now available in the school office. If you are planning to pay your tuition next year with the monthly payment option of FACTS automatic withdrawals, please stop by the school office and pick up the payment form. Forms need to be returned to the office at least three weeks prior to the first payment.
Students graduating from ACA must take the high school Rhetoric Grammar class or take the REME (Rhetoric English Mastery Exam) and pass it with a score of 80% or better. We are offering the REME again on Wednesday, April 15th at 3:45 p.m. Students may sign up for the REME in the school office. The cost is $50 for three opportunities to pass the REME.
JUNIOR HIGH TEXAS TRIP
Our Junior High students (grades 6 - 8) will be traveling to Dallas and Jefferson, TX the weekend of May 1 - 3. Information was distributed to junior high students in early March with all of the trip information. You will find the information and permission slip attached below. Seating on the vans it limited, so don’t wait too long to turn in your student’s permission slip! There is no school on Friday, May 1st, for students not on the trip. YEARBOOK AD INFORMATION
Parents of Seniors: Now is the time to consider highlighting your senior in the 2014-15 yearbook. Senior yearbook dedications are a great way to express to your child how much you love them and value their graduation milestone. Dedication requests will be accepted through Friday, April 10, on a first-come, first-served basis, as space is limited. Rates vary from $40 for one-eighth page to $280 for a full page. Please see the attached form below for the specifications and submission guidelines.
BUSINESS OWNERS: We are now accepting ads for the yearbook! This is an excellent opportunity to promote your business to our ACA families and support the yearbook. Ad sizes range from 1/8th page (business card) to a full page. FIRST ANNUAL AUGGIE AWARDS
May 1 – 7:00 p.m. at St. James Methodist Church, Tulsa
Enjoy an evening celebrating and honoring the cast members of “Oklahoma” and “Peter Pan”. Modeled after “The Academy Awards”, you will be treated to great entertainment from Show Choir, Vocal Express, and Alumni . I will be an evening you will remember. Following the award ceremony, parents will meet in the dining area for finger food and beverages. Our last Booster Club meeting of the school year will take place at this time. The cast and students will meet in the youth room where a live DJ will help them dance the evening away. Pizza and beverages will also be served. Dress code for the evening is semi-formal (Winter Court appropriate – girls are encouraged to wear one of their previous winter court dresses, guys need to wear a tie). There is no cost for cast members and their parents. The cost for non-cast students and guests are $10 each, however, tickets must be purchased in the school office in advance. No tickets will be available to purchase at the door.
