DISNEY’S “BEAUTY & THE BEAST”

Parents please share this information with your High School students!

ACA’s Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast” Audition Workshop will be held on FRIDAY, AUGUST, 19th, 2016, 3:30 – 9:00 pm, in the PAB.  A complimentary snack / dinner will be served. You DO NOT need previous experience in singing, dancing, or acting, but you do need to come prepared to have fun, make friends, be part of a team, and work hard!  The workshop is complimentary, BUT you need to return a completed workshop Registration Form (this will assure you dinner and materials). The registration form and a list of characters is attached below. There are plenty of roles to be filled, both male and female. Every high school student is encouraged to come out for the workshop. If you are NEW to theatre or to our school (or both), we WELCOME you and we extend a special invitation to “Be Our Guest” at the workshop.

Parents: please note that there is a required PARENT MEETING from 8:30-9:00 pm on FRIDAY, AUGUST 19TH OR SUNDAY, AUGUST 21, 5:30 – 6:00 pm IN THE PAB (these times are different than previously announced, but we think we can give you all the information and answer questions in this shorter amount of time).  Students CANNOT audition without having a parent attend one of the two available parent meetings listed above.

 

CHILD AUDITIONS FOR “Beauty and the Beast” characters CHIP AND TEACUPS – GRADES 3 - 6.

If your child is interested in auditioning for CHIP or one of the six TEACUPS, there will be auditions on SATURDAY, AUGUST 20th. Teacups will audition from 9:00 - 10:30 am and Chip will audition from 10:45 – Noon. Auditions are held in a fun and relaxed atmosphere. We will teach them any music or dance steps at the audition. The cost for children to be in this show is $75 and if selected, we need parents to attend the parent meeting on Sunday, Aug 21st, at 5:30 pm.  The Child Audition form is attached below. Audition forms are due back to the school office on or before end of day Friday, August 19th. If you have any questions, please call Gale Post at 918-852-2040.



UNIFORM RE-SALE SHOP

Parents, if you have gently used uniform items you would like to sell, you are welcome to bring them to the school!  Items must be tagged with your name and price you are asking for the item.  (tags are attached below for your convenience)  The school will retain $1 for each item you sell.  Any uniform items not sold must be picked up prior to the first day of school!  Checks for items sold will be sent out during the first or second week of school.

If your student needs uniform items for the coming school year, please check out the gently used uniform items for sale in the school lobby before you go to C & J Uniforms for new items.  We have polo shirts, oxford shirts, slacks, skirts, blazers, fleece jackets, and even some spirit wear shirts!  




SCHOOL SUPPLIES

School supplies for K4 - 5th Grade are included in your tuition costs for 2016-2017.  So are your student’s art fees, if they are in K4 - 5th grade!  The enrollment contract mentions it, but you may not have noticed it on there.  Secondary students must still purchase their school supplies.  We have made a change to the secondary supply list: students in high school level math classes must have a TI-83 Plus or TI-84 Plus calculator. The updated secondary school supply list is attached below.  Please remember that not everything on the secondary supply list is required for every class.




2016-2017 SCHOOL CALENDAR

The school calendar for the coming year is attached below and available on the school website. Make sure to note the dates of Parent Orientation, August 9th for parents of elementary age students and August 11th for parents of secondary students, and the first day of school on August 15!  Please note that the first day of school is a Student Orientation Day for ALL students - including part-time students.




MOMS BREAKFAST & FELLOWSHIP

Join the ACA Hen House for breakfast at Mimi’s Cafe on Saturday, August 27, at 9:00 a.m.  All ACA moms are invited - those new to ACA and those returning to ACA.  This is a great way to start off the school year - meet other ACA mothers, learn more about the Hen House, and enjoy a bit of fellowship over breakfast!  For more information, contact Mrs. Beth Minnich at 918-640-3246 or call the school office.
