DISNEY’S “BEAUTY AND THE BEAST”

Get ready! Tickets go on sale to the public on TOMORROW, October 13th!  Ticket prices are $10 per adult and $7 for children/students.  

Five Performances -

Thursday, Nov. 10 at 7:00 p.m.

Friday, Nov. 11 at 7:00 p.m.

Saturday, Nov. 12 at 2:00 & 7:00 p.m.

Sunday, Nov. 13 at 3:00 p.m.

Tickets WILL sell out so get them while we still have them because when they are gone…they are gone. Also, NO ticket refunds. We will do ticket exchanges for another performance, as long as we still have the tickets available to exchange.  Tickets may be purchased through the school office 8:00 a.m to 5:00 p.m. Monday - Friday (and after Little Theater this Friday night).

“BEAUTY AND THE BEAST” POSTERS AND POSTCARDS ARE AVAILABLE!  Please help us get the word out. We have beautiful Posters that need to be placed in our community. If you can place one in your business, church, studio, store, etc, please pick up one or two from the office. We also have postcards that you can distribute to family and friends. These are also available in the school office.

 

 

FINAL PARENT WORKDAY FOR “BEAUTY AND THE BEAST”

This Saturday, October 15, from 1:00 - 5:00 pm, we will have our final Workday for “Beauty and the Beast”. We are focusing on PAINTING of the set. There are a few things that may still be needed construction wise, but painting is the focus.  Cast Parents, if you signed up to PAINT, Saturday IS your day to make a dent in your hours. Please be mindful that the cast will be blocking also during that same time in the auditorium…we will all just be working together Saturday afternoon.



LITTLE THEATRE

“A Taste of Broadway” – FRIDAY, OCTOBER 14TH, 7:00 p.m. in the  ACA GREAT ROOM.

Come experience Broadway THIS Friday night as the ACA Show Choir and our Intro to Musical Theatre Class present selections from Broadway musicals. Also, stop by the concession stand FIRST and enjoy a Hot Dog, Soda, Water, and candy. Doors open at 6:30. Admission is “pay at the door” and is $3 per person for all ages. Don’t be late because seating is limited!  You can also get your tickets for “Beauty and the Beast” after Little Theatre that night.

 

 

PARENT PRAYER DAY

This Sunday, October 16th, 3:00 - 4:00 p.m. Mrs. Cathey will open the school for a time of prayer for our ACA community.  Please join her for this one hour prayer time.



SENIOR CHILI NIGHT & DESSERT AUCTION

The Senior’s annual Chili Night & Dessert Auction will take place on Friday evening, October 28th.  Contact Mrs. Cathey ( [email protected] ) if you would like to enter the “chili cook-off competition”.  We ask you to bring one full crock pot of your best chili - beef & bean, chicken, veggie, deer meat, spicy, mild, Southwest style or Cincinnati style… you name it - we will eat it!  If you think you have the best chili recipe, you should definitely enter our contest!  The Class of 2017 will be making the desserts for the auction at the end of the evening.  Watch for additional information in next week’s Charger Newsletter.

 

 

YEARBOOK PURCHASE INFORMATION

Parents: you need to order yearbooks this year!  (if you don’t order one, you won’t have one)

Order as many as you like! (one for each student, or one per family – it’s your choice)  The yearbook will be delivered and distributed in May this year!

Did you miss the deadline to get 15% off in September?  Good news!  If you order in October, you will get 10% off the cost of your yearbook!

GRAMMAR SCHOOL NEWS!

Our 5th graders recently wrote letters to veterans and their letters were distributed at the WWII Honor Flight Mail Call last week in Tulsa.  The notes were well done and very touching - they really revealed the caring hearts of our 5th graders!  Lilian Krautter received a note back from the veteran who received her letter!  Last week the class had a Civil War day with recitations and a Juneteenth Celebration; and just yesterday they went downtown to visit the Geoscience Center.  Mrs. Woods is keeping her 5th graders very busy!

3rd Grade Rocks!  Tomorrow our 3rd graders will be visiting the ORU Ensing Rock Museum and the Tulsa Geoscience Center.



PSAT

REMINDER: This Saturday morning several of our 10th & 11th graders will be taking the PSAT.  Those students should report to the Great Room at 7:55 a.m. on Saturday for the test.  They will be finished at approximately 11:30 a.m.  Students should dress in “the spirit of the dress code”.



ALADDIN DVD’S ARE HERE!

If you ordered a dvd of the Summer Week of the Arts production of “Disney’s Aladdin, Jr.” you can pick that up in the school office.  The cost is only $10 and checks can be made out to ACA.  If you ordered a photo cd, we also have those in the office.  The photo cd’s are $15 and checks should be made out to Nick Conroy.



ONGOING FUNDRAISERS

ACA participates in a few fundraisers that are easy to participate in and they go throughout the year!  

Office Depot has their 5% Back to Schools Program and will send us a gift card each quarter based upon how many customers credit their purchases to ACA.  When making a purchase, just tell them that you want our school to get credit.  Our school number is: 70120398 (which you can put in your phone and have it with you!) or the store can look us up.  We are listed by our corporate name - St. Augustine Academy, Inc.

Boxtops for Education are found on many products that we all purchase every week and those little coupons are worth cash to our school.  Please make it a habit to cut out or tear off those Boxtops and bring them to the school office.  See the list of Boxtop products attached below!
