GRAMMAR SCHOOL PARENT MEETING

The Grammar School Parent Meeting has been scheduled for this Thursday, January 26th. Mr. Post will meet with parents beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the Great Room followed by classroom meetings with the teachers. If you need child care for the evening, please call or email the office at 918-832-4600 or [email protected] .

SICKNESS POLICY

This time of the year is a notorious season for flu, colds, sinus infections, and overall yuckiness. We ask that you remember the school policy. If your student has diarrhea, vomiting, and/or fever they are not allowed at school. The student must remain home until free of those symptoms for a full 24 hours.  We appreciate your help with this as we would like to keep our students and staff healthy!

SALT & LIGHT CHAPEL

Our Salt & Light guest speaker on Monday, January 30th will be Grady Nichols, professional smooth jazz saxophone player and Channel 6 Account Executive. Mr. Nichols has opened for a variety of artists, including Luciano Pavarotti, Ray Charles, the Temptations and Al Green. His albums have featured such acclaimed guest vocalists as Chicago’s Bill Champlin, Leigh Nash of Sixpence None the Richer fame and Andy Chrisman, worship leader at Church on the Move and formerly of 4Him fame. Parents, you are always welcome to join us for our chapel services. We will meet from 9:05 - 10:05 a.m. and look forward to a wonderful chapel service.  Parents are welcome to attend.  Secondary students must wear their High Convocation uniform on Monday.  The class schedule will be adjusted to allow more time for chapel.  Please see the adjusted schedule attached below.

TRIVIA NIGHT FUNDRAISER

It’s Spring Fundraiser time again! Our annual spring fundraiser is fast approaching and we are in need of your assistance. Each year, in addition to fun trivia, we have had a lot of exciting silent and live auction items donated to our cause. Disney World has once again provided 4 Park Hopper passes for our event, and we want to see what clever ideas you may have. In the past, donations have included PAC tickets to Wicked, time-share vacations, automotive detailing (“pampering”), music and dance lessons, restaurant gift cards, original artwork, jewelry and much, much more. If you or anyone you know would be willing to donate an item or service, please contact John Ahrens at [email protected] .  It is a great way to promote a business and a wonderful way to support ACA!

As a reminder, this year’s Trivia Night event will be held at the Tulsa Country Club and dinner will be provided!  So, mark your calendar for Saturday, February 25th at 6:30 p.m. and don’t forget to choose a table theme. Even if trivia is not your thing, come out and support ACA. It will prove to be an evening of fun and great ACA entertainment.

SAFARI SANCTUARY TO VISIT ACA

Our Grammar School students will get to experience several exotic animals this Thursday, January 26th, from Safari Sanctuary in Broken Arrow. Our teachers received a grant from the BAMA Companies and one of our ACA families for Safari Sanctuary’s “Zoo to You” program. Safari Sanctuary rescues exotic animals from people who have tried to have them as pets and changed their minds, and from zoos who have overbred. An iguana, a bearded dragon, an albino python, and several birds are just a few of the animals kids will get to experience up close and personal.  The program will be at 1:30 and parents are welcome to attend.

FEBRUARY LUNCH ORDERS

Attached below is the monthly lunch order form for February.  Please note that it begins on January 30th!  If you wish to order for the month, please turn in your order form and payment to the school office by Friday, January 27th.  This monthly order form is for your convenience only… students may still order their lunch each morning.

IT’S NOT TOO LATE TO PURCHASE A YEARBOOK!

Ordering a yearbook is easy!  Go to www.TreeRing.com/validate and enter our school’s code:  1014725638033905.
