Kirk D. Post


Mr. Post is a seasoned educator with over 30 years of experience as a teacher, principal, and administrator, and is one of the three founders of ACA. While Mr. Post holds a bachelor’s degree in education from California State University and has experience in curriculum writing and staff development, he is probably best known by his students for his love of educational games, bad puns, and a hearty laugh. He is a voracious reader and researcher, loves history and good movies, and boasts a respectable collection of swords that he will gladly show anyone who asks to see them.

Mr. Post has used a variety of educational methods through the years, but he particularly appreciates the classical approach to teaching and learning. “I’ve never experienced an approach to education that so challenged me as a teacher,” he explains, “or produced more exciting results in my students.” We are privileged to have him helping shape the educational experience at Augustine Christian Academy.

John Ahrens

Director of Operations

Mr. Ahrens began at ACA in 2013, but has been part of the ACA family since 2011 when two of his sons began attending the School of Rhetoric after being home schooled for many years. In fact, Mr. Ahrens and his wife, Toni (who teaches our 2nd grade class), first heard of Augustine through other ACA families years before they arrived in Tulsa, and the Ahrenses moved from Michigan planning to enroll their sons at ACA based solely on the results they had seen in their friends’ children.

His more than 20 years experience in management, finance, and business development equip Mr. Ahrens to focus on developing business and community partnerships with the school, fundraising, and keeping the “business side” running smoothly. While he is well known in the ACA community for his easy laugh, positive spirit, and impressive tenor singing voice, his skills in building community outreach and maintaining fiscal soundness help ACA to thrive under his leadership.
