“HELLO DOLLY” AUDITION WORKSHOP
The audition workshop for the spring production of “Hello Dolly” will be held on Saturday, November 12th. Registration forms are available in the school office. All students in grades 9 – 12 are invited to participate in “Hello Dolly”.
The Class of 2012 is sponsoring a Talent Show on Friday evening, November 11th, at 7:00 p.m. in the ACA Great Room. The registration forms are now available in the school office for those students entering the talent show.
The EXPLORE Test will be given on Tuesday, November 8th, to all ACA 8th graders and any 9th graders who have not yet taken it. The EXPLORE Test is the test we use to determine the reading level of students when they apply for their driver permit, so it is important that these students take it. The test will begin at 8:00 a.m. and will be over at approximately 11:15 a.m. Questions? Please call the school office.
ACA is supporting Greenwood Christian Center in their Thanksgiving food distribution to needy families in the neighborhood of their church. Beginning tomorrow, we will start collecting the following items for the food baskets:
Boxes of instant potatoes
Canned green beans
Canned sweet potatoes
Canned cranberry sauce
Mac and cheese
And any other items to help a family have a delicious Thanksgiving meal. Food items should be taken to your student’s classroom or their House sponsor’s classroom.
And what Thanksgiving meal would be complete without a turkey? Each house and elementary class will have a designated “turkey fund” with which students will bring in either cash or checks payable to ACA. All money for turkeys must be given to Miss Becki in the office.
Further information concerning points and prizes will be announced at a later date. Donations of food or money for turkeys must be turned in by 4:00 p.m. on Monday, November 14th. Thank you so much for your generous heart and willingness to help!
WHO DO YOU “GOODSEARCH” FOR?
Did you know that ACA receives about $100 each year because people use Goodsearch and Goodshop? Just go to www.goodsearch.com or www.goodshop.com and register as an Augustine Christian Academy supporter. Then each time you use Goodsearch or Goodshop, ACA receives a donation! This is such an easy way to support ACA!
