Jean Anderson and her sons joined the ACA family in 1998 and throughout the time her sons attended and long after they graduated, she was a supportive prayer warrior for ACA. Jean is with the Lord now, but her legacy to her sons and those who knew her was a love for God and His Word. The Jean Anderson Memorial Bible Award is designed to honor this woman of God and to encourage ACA students to increase their love of studying God’s Word. Beginning this year, and each year in March, ACA high school students are invited to take a Bible Literacy Test to demonstrate what they have learned from their study of the Bible. Jean’s son, Greg Anderson, who recently completed his Masters in Divinity from Dallas Theological Seminary, has written the test. The ACA student earning the highest score each year will be awarded a new Bible engraved with their name, and will receive a cash award of $100. The Bible Literacy Test will be given this year on March 11 at 2:30 p.m. and on March 12 at 8:00 a.m. Interested students must register for the test in the school office.

Come out to support the sophomores and juniors of ACA by playing games, watching a movie, and eating popcorn. There will also be other delicious concessions and a silent auction! This will be a night of fun for all ages. Find your favorite sophomores and juniors for advance purchase of Family Fun Night Pack which includes Admission, Movie, Drink, Popcorn, and 4 Game tickets. $5 for Adults and $3 for Students. Packs may also be purchased in the school office. There will be 2 movie options: “How to Train Your Dragon” and Marvel’s “The Avengers”. Since “The Avengers” is rated PG13, we will ask that students under age 13 have an adult with them to enter the Avengers movie. Students under 6th grade must have an adult with them during the entire event. Doors open at 6:00. Movies start at 7:00. (This is a fund raising event for student going on the East Coast trip in the spring of 2014.)
