The Graduation Fee of $100 is now due! The Seniors & Staff Luncheon will be held on May 17 at noon in the Performing Arts Building, followed by the graduation rehearsal at Woodlake Assembly Church at 2:00 p.m. This is also the time for setting up your senior’s display table at the church.

Final exams for students in grades 6 – 12 are this week. The final exam schedule is attached below. Students only need to be at school for the class periods during which they are taking a final exam. No lunches will be available May 16, so students staying through the lunch period should pack their lunch! There will be after school care available on the 16th, but not on Friday, May 17th. Students may come to the office for make-up tests on Thursday between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. but on Friday the office will close at noon.

Congratulations to ACA 9th grader Rachel Wolf for being chosen by the Sam Noble Museum, in Norman, OK, to participate in a paleontology dig for two weeks this June. The museum choses only 10 students from Oklahoma to participate each summer.

Congratulations to ACA 11th grader Sarah Smith for earning her Dolly Madison Level Award in American Heritage Girls. She had to earn badges, attend leadership training, do 20 hours of community service, answer questions from a board of review, and participate in troop functions to earn this award. Sarah is the first girl in Oklahoma to receive the Dolly Madison Level Award.

Congratulations to 12th grader Julia Morgan and 11th grader Alex Wilbins for receiving their AWANA Citation Awards. To earn this award, these students had to read the entire Bible and summarize each book, memorize over 1000 Bible verses, and complete 10 years worth of handbooks. Both Julia and Alex began attending AWANA when they were just 4 years old.

At ACA we celebrate several Graduations! The Kindergarteners and 5th graders have already had their ceremonies and below are the dates and times for our 8th grade and senior graduations for this year. Please note: Students attending graduation ceremonies must wear their High Convocation uniform.

12th Grade – Friday, May 17, 7:00 p.m. at Woodlake Assembly of God Church

The secondary class schedule for next school year is attached below. Secondary students should stop by the office to pick up their schedules. Mr. Post has made schedules for all secondary students, so if you need to make a change in your schedule for next year, please make an appointment to meet with him.

As you know, Dr. Larry Ehrlich, our administrator, is retiring at the end of May. We will be hosting a Retirement Open House for Dr. Ehrlich on Sunday, June 2, from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. in the ACA Great Room. We want to celebrate his many years at ACA! Current and former ACA students, families, and teachers are invited! Please plan to drop by and wish him well on his new adventure of retirement!

If you have not yet enrolled your student for next year, please bring in your enrollment forms before the end of May. Since our curriculum orders are made during the summer, it’s helpful to know how many students will be in each class.

One of our ACA families is planning to put in a new fence within the next couple of weeks at their home near 11th & Harvard, and they are looking for some help to get it done. They would like to hire 2-4 high school boys to come and work with them for a few days. For more information or if your son would like to help with this project, please call Mr. & Mrs. Jens Quilitzsch at 918-346-9830.

The Rhetoric English Mastery Exam will be given this summer on Wednesday, June 12, and on Tuesday, July 23. This test will begin at 9:00 a.m. on both dates. Students scoring a 80% or better on the REME are not required to take the high school level English Grammar class. The cost of the test is $50 for three opportunities to pass the test. The REME is offered each year in the spring and summer. Call or email the ACA office to sign your student up for the test. Students may check out a book from the office to review for the test.

ACA is in need of a volunteer Photo Librarian for the many, many photos that our yearbook staff and others have taken. If you would like to get more information or volunteer for this job, please contact Mr. John Ahrens at: [email protected]
