Dr. Larry Ehrlich, our administrator, is retiring at the end of May. We will be hosting a Retirement Open House for Dr. Ehrlich on Sunday, June 2, from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. in the ACA Great Room. We want to celebrate his many years at ACA! Current and former ACA students, families, and teachers are invited! Please plan to drop by and wish him well on his new adventure of retirement! Cards are welcome!

Dr. McGuire, ACA’s new Grammar School principal, and his family are moving to be closer to the school, and they need some volunteer help. The day of their move is next Friday, May 31, beginning at 8:00 a.m. and volunteers should report to 8505 Shadowood Ave. in Broken Arrow. Parents and high school students are encouraged to come and help this new ACA family! Mr. Post is offering community service points to high school students who help the McGuire family move! For more information or directions, call Dr. McGuire at 860-977-6971.

ACA will host a Summer Week of the Arts July 15 – 19 for students in grades 3 – 8. ACA students and non-ACA students are welcome to attend! Pre-registration is required! The Rhetoric English Mastery Exam will be given this summer on Wednesday, June 12, and on Tuesday, July 23. This test will begin at 9:00 a.m. on both dates. Students scoring a 80% or better on the REME are not required to take the high school level English Grammar class. The cost of the test is $50 for three opportunities to pass the test. The REME is offered each year in the spring and summer. Call or email the ACA office to sign your student up for the test. Students may check out a book from the office to review for the test.

ACA welcomes Mrs. Karen Aspenson to our faculty beginning in August. She will be teaching Algebra I, Algebra II, and Geometry. Mrs. Aspenson is already part of the ACA family – she has been the editor of The Augustine Forum since it began and she has three children enrolled at ACA. She has also been one of our substitute teachers. We are happy that she will be joining our faculty this fall!

The ACA office is now on summer hours. The office will be open 9:00 – 4:00 Monday – Friday and will be closed on Memorial Day, May 27, and on July 4 & 5.

One of our ACA families is planning to put in a new fence within the next couple of weeks at their home near 11th & Harvard, and they are looking for some help to get it done. For more information or if your son would like to help with this project, please call Mr. & Mrs. Jens Quilitzsch at 918-346-9830.
