Dr. Larry Ehrlich, our administrator, is retiring. We will be hosting a Retirement Open House for Dr. Ehrlich on Sunday, June 2, from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. in the ACA Great Room. We want to celebrate his many years at ACA! Current and former ACA students, families, and teachers are invited! This is a “come & go” Open House so please plan to drop by and wish him well on his new adventure of retirement! Cards & gifts are welcome, and there will also be a money tree. If you are not able to attend, cards can be dropped off at the school office or mailed to ACA and we will make sure they get to Dr. Ehrlich.

Dr. Malcolm McGuire, ACA’s new Grammar School principal, and his family are moving to be closer to the school, and they need some volunteer help. The day of their move is this Friday, May 31, beginning at 8:00 a.m. and volunteers should report to 8505 Shadowood Ave. in Broken Arrow. Parents and high school students are encouraged to come and help this new ACA family! Mr. Post is offering community service points to high school students who help the McGuire family move! For more information or directions, call Dr. McGuire at 860-977-6971.

ACA will host a Summer Week of the Arts July 15 – 19 for students in grades 3 – 8. ACA students and non-ACA students are welcome to attend! Pre-registration is required! Classes are offered in Art, Creative Writing, Play Props Creation, and Performing Arts. For more information, please see the registration form attached below.

Fourth quarter report cards will be available for pick up beginning this Friday, May 31.

The ACA Performing Arts Dept. is looking for an off site storage location for some of the props that have been created for our plays. The location does not need to be heated/cooled, but must be weather proof. If you have a garage, barn, or shed you aren’t using and would be willing to lend the space to ACA, please contact Mr. John Ahrens at [email protected].

The Rhetoric English Mastery Exam will be given this summer on Wednesday, June 12, and on Tuesday, July 23. This test will begin at 9:00 a.m. on both dates. Students scoring a 80% or better on the REME are not required to take the high school level English Grammar class. The cost of the test is $50 for three opportunities to pass the test. The REME is offered each year in the spring and summer. Call or email the ACA office to sign your student up for the test. Students may check out a book from the office to review for the test.

The ACA office is now on summer hours. The office will be open 9:00 – 4:00 Monday – Friday and will be closed July 4 & 5.
