It was a Miracle Day!
A HUGE THANK YOU to all of the volunteers (parents, students, alumni, and friends) who came to help us with the various projects on our work day this past Monday. A LOT was accomplished in just a short amount of time because so many of you volunteered your time and your muscles!

Time to rally the troops again! Well, actually the troops AND a few Falcons, Dragons, Griffins, and Pegasi! Alex Wilbins, and his friends in Boy Scout Troop 93, will be refurbishing the ACA playground for Alex’s Eagle Scout Project. His workday is scheduled for this Saturday, July 13th (and maybe the 20th if needed) starting at 9:00 a.m. Alex needs some additional volunteers and would love to see a large turnout from Falcon House, but would also like to fellowship with his friends from the other Houses. Community service points will be awarded for workers! You would be doing your school a great service and doing Alex a GREAT favor! Lunch will be provided for up to 14 workers! Please call the school to RSVP at 918-832-4600 or RSVP to [email protected]. Thank you!!

ALL ACA HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS are invited to join the cast of “It’s A Wonderful Life - the Musical” this fall. NO previous experience is needed. To get a head start for the FREE audition workshop to be held on AUGUST 16 (with auditions the following week!), the cast listening CD music and script are attached to the link shown below. (DISCLAIMER FROM MRS POST: The CD was recorded by a church congregation… some of the voices are great… others, not so great. Do NOT form an opinion by how they interpret and sing the music. We will sing and interpret much differently!) Auditions will be held August 19 & 20 after school. Performance dates are December 5 - 8 (5 performances). Go to the Dropbox link below and download to your computer, iPad, etc. for easy access. (Please avoid any tab that says “delete.”) More information about the musical, workshop, auditions will be coming soon.

Mr. Roy Pinder, ACA parent, is coordinating an effort to begin a basketball program at ACA for elementary & junior high students. The goal of the program will be to allow participants an opportunity to advance their skill level. This would be a fall – winter program with the students participating in a league and tournaments. The cost per student could range from $175 to $300 and would include uniforms, registrations, & practice facility rental. If your family is interested in being part of this exciting new opportunity, please call the school office or email your student’s name & grade to: [email protected].

Coming this fall: ACA’s Audio/Video Club for those students interested in learning the art of Video, Audio, Lighting, Film and Editing under the leadership of an intern from Tulsa University (Isaac Holton). The club is open to ACA students in grades 7th-12th. Call the school office or email [email protected] to find out more information about how your student can get involved!
