LUNCHES AT ACA
We are still hammering out some details with our lunch providers, but we will get them all going as soon as we can! Until then, please make sure you pack a lunch for your student on the days there is no lunch offered at ACA! Next week we will have Chick-fil-A available on Monday, August 19, and pizza on Wednesday, August 21. Lunches must be ordered first thing in the morning at the school office or in the students first hour class. Part-time students may call the office prior to 9:00 a.m. to order their lunch (but please don’t leave a message, be sure to talk to someone!).
“101 DALMATIANS” DVD’S
If you ordered a DVD of this summer’s performance of Disney’s “101 Dalmatians”, you are now able to pick that up in the office. The cost is $10 and checks should be made payable to Kenneth Jones.
FALL MUSICAL PRODUCTION
ALL ACA HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS are invited to join the cast of “It’s A Wonderful Life - the Musical” this fall. NO previous experience is needed. The FREE audition workshop will be held this Friday, AUGUST 16, 3:45 – 9:00 p.m. (Dinner will be provided) The workshop is free, but students must register for it so we will know how much food to prepare! The registration form is attached below. (Students attending the workshop are not required to audition.)
A MANDATORY CAST PARENT MEETING will be held on Saturday, August 17, at 10:00 a.m. (refreshments will be served).
Auditions will be on Sunday, August 18, 1:45 – 4:00 p.m. and Monday, August 19, 3:45 – 6:00 p.m. The cast listening CD music and script are attached to the link shown below. Go to the Dropbox link below and download to your computer, iPad, etc. for easy access. (Please avoid any tab that says “delete.”)
PARENT PRAYER MINISTRY
Come and join our Parent Prayer Ministry in praying for our students, staff, and ACA families! Whether you want to join us just once in a while, or every week, we are always stronger together! We will be meeting for one hour on Wednesday mornings at 8:15 a.m. in ACA’s Performing Arts Building. We’ll look forward to seeing you! No make-up or close shaves required!
YEARBOOK PICTURE DAY
Next Wednesday, August 21, is Yearbook Picture Day! Portraits will be taken beginning at 8:15 a.m. Students should wear their blue ACA polo shirt! Order forms will be sent home this week for those who want to order school pictures. Part-time students can stop by and have their portrait taken between 8:15 and 10:30 a.m. There will be a make-up/re-take day later in the fall.
Attention parents of high school students: If your student borrowed the Rhetoric Grammar book to study for the REME test, PLEASE return the book to the school office as soon as possible! The students taking the class need those books! Thanks so much!
CHARGER ROUND TABLE
Each year at the beginning of the school year, our secondary students spend two days together at New Life Ranch in Colcord, OK. This is a great time of fun and fellowship as students get to know each other and the ACA faculty outside of the classroom. This year Charger Round Table will be held next week, August 22 & 23. Students will board the buses at 8:00 a.m. on Thursday and return to the school at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. The cost is $90 per student and includes transportation, lodging, 4 delicious meals, and tons of fun. Permission slips are due next Monday, August 19, and you will find the permission slip and more information on the attachment below.
