George & Mary Bailey, Uncle Billy, Clarence, and all the citizens of Bedford Falls will be taking the ACA stage December 5-8, 2013 for five heartwarming (and show-stopping) performances of “It’s A Wonderful Life–the Musical.” Tickets (adults-$10, children & students-$7) go on sale to the public Friday, November 8th, 2013, and the intimate theater at the school means every seat is a good one.
Based on the beloved 1946 Frank Capra film, this musical faithfully follows protagonist George Bailey’s life from his childhood dreams to his mid-life disappointments and his eventual questioning of life’s purpose. This beautifully scored and theatrically staged adaptation breathes musical life into a familiar story, while retaining all the warmth, humor, and goodwill of the original. If you are familiar with the story, you know there’s rarely a dry eye in the house at the end of the story, and anyone who’s attended an ACA musical knows the students will amaze you with their talent, versatility, and depth. In short, this is not your typical high school production. Tickets sell out quickly, so order yours from the office right away!
Evening performances begin at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday (12/5-12/7), and matinees begin at 2:00 p.m. on the Saturday the 7th, and 3:00 p.m. on Sunday the 8th. To purchase tickets or for more information, call the school office at 918-832-4600.
