PABC CHOCOLATE BAR SALES
Great news PABC families! We have extended the deadline to turn in your candy bar money until Feb. 28th to give everyone a little more time to sell. Prizes will go to the top 3 students who sold the most chocolate on Monday, March 3rd after Chapel. Prizes are based on the most boxes sold with the money having been turned in by the Feb. 28 deadline. You did such a great job this year that we actually ran out of inventory and we had families wanting to sell more. Thank you for your support! The First Annual ACA Shakespeare Contest was held on Thursday, February 13th. There were six student competitors who had to memorize and perform 20 lines from any Shakespeare play. Junior Joseph Bates took First Place and Freshman Annie Wilsterman took Second Place and will advance to the State Level of the ESU National Shakespeare Competition to be held on the TU campus this Saturday, Feb. 22. At the state level, they will perform their monologues plus they must memorize and perform one of Shakespeare’s sonnets. Winners at the state level receive an all-expense paid trip to the National Competition to be held in New York City in May. Congratulations and Good Luck to Joseph and Annie!
The Class of 2014 is sponsoring an ACA Talent Show next Friday, February 28th, at 7:00 p.m. in the Great Room. This is a “pay at the door” event and seating is limited so don’t be late! There are many talented students at ACA so you will not want to miss this talent show! Student entry forms are available at the school office.
EAST COAST TRIP MEETING
There will be a meeting on Friday, Feb. 28, at 6:00 p.m. for parents of those students going on the East Coast Trip in March. All sponsors and chaperones should also attend this meeting! Important information will be shared and the trip backpacks will be distributed. If you are not able to attend, please contact Miss Crow or Mr. Post.
The March monthly lunch order form is now available in the school office and is attached below. Those ordering for the month should turn in their order form and payment by Friday, February 28th.
CONTAINERS OR BASKETS NEEDED
A BIG THANK YOU to ACA parent Bethany Williams for organizing the Grammar School storage closet! To help her with this task, we are looking for containers and/or baskets that are no more than 10 ½ inches high and 17 ½ inches deep to fit on the shelves in the closet. If you have some gently used containers or baskets you could donate, please bring them to the school office. Thanks so much!
REMINDER TO SENIORS!
Seniors who are ordering graduation announcements through ACA must submit a digital copy of their photo to the school office by Friday, March 14th. Please email photo to [email protected] using the largest format possible. Announcements do not need to be paid for until you pick them up in April. Costs are: 25 for $17.50, 50 for $27.50, 75 for $34.50, and 100 for $42.50.
The graduation fee of $100 is due by May 2nd, and the cap & gown cost of $30 is due when picking those up in May.
Do you have a student who might be interested in playing Lacross? One of our ACA parents has sent the following information about free lacross clinics in our area. The first one is in Owasso at McCarty Park on Saturday, March 1st at 10:30 a.m. Then on Sunday, March 2nd at 1:30 p.m. there is a clinic at Nienhuis Park Field in Broken Arrow. These clinics are FREE and sponsored by the Indian Nations Lacross Conference.
BOXTOPS & CAMPBELLS LABELS
If you have been saving up your General Mills Boxtops or your Campbells Labels, please bring them to the school office! ACA can redeem the Boxtops for cash and the Labels for classroom supplies. This is an ongoing fundraiser for ACA with submissions made in the fall and again in the spring. Thanks for participating with us!
