The Charger Newsletter

We have been working on Gradenet and getting set up for the new school year and that includes class schedules for secondary students!  Returning ACA families should check Gradenet (or have your student check) because if there are no classes showing for the upcoming year, then we do not have a class schedule for your student!  If you haven’t yet re-enrolled your student, don’t wait too long.  Classes will fill up!  If you need to meet with Mr. Post to discuss your student’s class schedule or diploma option, please call the office to make an appointment with him.  If you have friends planning to enroll their students at ACA this year, please remind them that they need to do it soon to make sure they get the classes they want.  Families new to ACA will receive information about accessing Gradenet at the parent orientation.

Two of our talented ACA students, Joseph Bates and Anthony Conroy, will be performing with their string quartet “BBCM Quartet” at the Tulsa PAC on Friday, July 18, in a concert called Bridging the Gap.  Since forming the BBCM Quartet in 2012, these young men have been impressing their audiences each time they’ve played.  Congratulations Joseph and Anthony!  For more information and to purchase tickets, go to:

We are having another Uniform Recycling Day to coincide with our Amazing Work Day on Friday, July 25th!  The Uniform Recycling will take place in the school lobby from 9:00 a.m. until noon.  If you have uniform items to sell, you can bring them to the school on Wednesday and Thursday, July 23 & 24th.  Please see the attachment below for instructions on selling your gently used uniforms.

From 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Friday, July 25th, we will be doing several work projects and need as many volunteers as possible.  Students in grades 6 – 12, parents, teachers, and alumni are all welcome to join us!  Lunch will be provided and House points will be given (points for parents and students)!  It’s okay to come for only part of the day if you cannot commit to the whole day.  Come and help us as we gear up for the new school year!

If your family uses the FACTS monthly payment option to pay your tuition, please remember that you need to turn in your payment form three weeks prior to your first monthly payment.  Please call the school office if you have any questions about the monthly payment option or the FACTS form.

There is one more opportunity for high school students to take the Rhetoric English Mastery Exam (REME) this summer – on Wednesday, July 23 at 10:00 a.m.  Students who pass the REME with an 80% or better score are not required to take the Rhetoric Grammar class.  The cost is $50 per student for three opportunities to pass.  Call or email the school office to sign up your student to take the REME on July 23rd!  [email protected]

The ACA office remains open during the summer!   The hours are 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Monday – Friday.
