The Performing Arts Booster Club will be selling Smoklahoma brand barbecue sauces (sweet, hot, and mustard flavors) in the lobby during all performances of “Oklahoma!” this weekend. Stock up for grilling season, but keep in mind these make a great holiday gift for those hard-to-buy-for friends, family members, and co-workers. All profits from the sales of these sauces go to our performing arts department. Try them on your hot dogs or pulled pork sandwiches at the “Oklahoma!” concession stand, then buy your favorites as gifts (even for yourself)!
The concession stand at all performances of “Oklahoma!” will offer candy, freshly popped popcorn, a variety of sodas and water, plus hot dogs and pulled pork sandwich meals (featuring our Smoklahoma barbecue sauce). For dessert we’ll have slices of pie (whipped cream on top, optional). Also available in the lobby will be Oklahoma bouquets to treat your date or your favorite performers. Small bouquets are $5 and large ones are $10.
Cast Parents, if you are working with the concessions team at this weekend’s performances of “Oklahoma!”, please remember you can dress up to match the cast. Bonnets, boots, western wear… all welcome. Support your favorite Farmers, Cow Men, and Oklahomans in Turn-of-the-Century Territorial style!
Faculty Follies is just around the corner, so be sure to mark your calendars for 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. Friday, November 21st, at Woodlake Assembly Church (on 31st Street between Sheridan and Memorial). This is your opportunity to bless the faculty and staff of ACA with their annual Christmas bonus, so come prepared to enjoy an evening of songs, skits, and wonderful fellowship. If you are unable to attend but still want to bless our teachers, please feel free to see Miss Becki in the school office with your financial support or visit our website and contribute through our “Invest in ACA” tab (located at the bottom of our web page). We are looking forward to showing off the gifts and talents of our amazing staff and teachers. You won’t want to miss it!
ACA high school students must either take the high school English Grammar class or pass the Rhetoric English Mastery Exam (REME) with a score of 80% or better. The REME is offered several times each year, and the next opportunity for students to take it is on Tuesday, November 25th, at 3:15 p.m. The cost is $50 for three opportunities to pass the REME and it will be offered again in the spring semester and during the summer. FIVE WEEK REPORTS
Five week progress reports will be distributed on Friday. Be sure to ask your student for it.
Our Grammar School students will present their Christmas program, on Friday, December 5th, at 7:00 p.m. at SpiritLife Church (5345 S. Peoria Ave. in Tulsa). All of our ACA parents and secondary students are invited to attend.
Donations have been tallied and we have closed out this years Carry the Light fundraiser with a grand total of $42,156. This total includes all monies received through November 12th as well as promised matching donations from a few of our wonderful local corporations. You should have received a copy of your donor list for the “Thank You” note phase, so please stress to your student the importance of sending those out quickly.
