DVD’s of the ACA production of “School House Rock” are now available.  If you pre-paid for the dvd, it was sent home with your student today.  If you did not pre-pay, you will be able to purchase a dvd in the school office.  The dvd costs $20.00 and checks should be made payable to Kenneth Jones.

The order form for January lunches is attached below.  Please note that the “House Special” on January 16 cannot be announced until we return to school in January and we find out which House won 2nd Quarter!  If you are ordering for the month, please turn in your order form and payment by December 19th, if possible.

First semester final exams for secondary students will be given this Thursday and Friday, December 18 & 19.  Students may take their exams on that Thursday between 8:00 a.m. & 3:00 p.m. and on that Friday between 8:00 a.m. and noon.  Students may come either day (or both) to take their exams.  They are not required to be at school the entire day, but only the time needed for them to take their exams.  Students should check with each of their teachers to see if they are required to take the exam for that class.  A student that has at least a B average in the class, has no missing work, and has not missed more than 2 classes may choose not to take their final exam.  Lunch and after school care will be available on Thursday, Dec. 18; but on Friday, December 19th there will not be any lunch available and there will not be any after school care available. Please make the necessary arrangements to have your students picked up at noon that day.

The Grammar School Christmas Celebration talent show will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, December 19th.  Students wishing to participate in the talent show must sign up in the school office.  Singing, dancing, playing piano, and other talents are examples and all acts must have a Christmas theme.  Parents and friends are welcome to attend the talent show.  Just a reminder that there is no lunch available on Friday, and there will be no after school care that day.  Please make arrangements to have your students picked up at noon on Friday.

The workshop for our spring Jr. High musical, Disney’s “Peter Pan”, is fast approaching.  ALL students grades 4 - 8 are encouraged to attend the complimentary workshop on Saturday, January 10th in preparation of auditions.  The audition workshop will be 9:00 a.m. until noon with a parent meeting at noon.  Students do not need to have previous theatre experience to participate!  Auditions for “Peter Pan” will be held the week following the workshop.

Yes, that does say “Valentine Store”…  If you are cleaning out trinkets, figurines, stuffed animals, and small gift items over the Christmas break, please consider bringing items in new or “like new” condition to the ACA office for the Performing Arts Booster Club’s Valentine Store.  Re-purpose those small items to make room for the new Christmas gifts and help the PABC raise money for ACA’s musical productions!

The Grammar School is collecting picture frames for an art display.  If you have any frames you are willing to part with (glass not needed), please bring them to the school office.  We need all shapes and sizes, but we are especially interested in larger sizes, oval, and unusual frames.  We do not need the back or the glass, just the frame.  We are going to paint them, so we’ll take any frame in any condition.  Thanks so much!
