ACA ISRAEL TRIP
Tomorrow morning the ACA sponsored Israel Tour leaves for their two weeks of exploring the country & culture of Israel. 26 current and former ACA students, families, and teachers will be travelling with former ACA administrator Dr. Larry Ehrlich to visit the places we read about in the Bible. Please keep these students and families in your prayers as they travel to and from Israel and within the country.
DISNEY’S “PETER PAN”
Tickets will go on sale Monday, March 9th, for the ACA production of Disney’s “Peter Pan”. Performances are:
Thursday, April 9 at 7:00
Friday, April 10 at 7:00
Saturday, April 11 at 2:00 and 7:00
Sunday, April 12 at 3:00
Tickets are $10 for adults and $7 for students. Doors will open 30 minutes prior to show time. Concessions will be available at each performance.
PETER PAN SET WORK DAY
Tomorrow, March 7th, there will be a “Peter Pan” set work day beginning at 9:00 a.m. All cast parents and high school students are welcome to come and help us get the set put together and painted. Many hands make light work! Join us even if you can only stay an hour or two!
TRIVIA NIGHT WAS POSTPONED!!
Trivia Night had to be postponed due to the weather on February 28th. The new date is March 28th! We don’t want you to miss out on this FUNdraising evening with us. Tickets purchased previously are still good for the new date. If you didn’t get your tickets before, it’s not too late to join us on March 28th! Stop by the office and purchase a table of 10 for $100 or individual tickets for just $10 each!
Bring your wallet when you come, because there will be a few auction items as well as a few raffles in which to participate.
Sweet and Salty Desserts, Water, Tea and Punch will be served.

Next Friday, March 13, our 8th graders, and 9th graders new to ACA, will be taking the EXPLORE test beginning at 8:00 a.m. This is the test we use to prove 8th grade reading proficiency for the Oklahoma driver’s exam, so it’s important for our students to take this test. The test lasts about three hours and students are excused from their 1st & 2nd hour classes for it.
SCHOLASTIC BOOK FAIR
The week following Spring Break, March 23 - 27, ACA will be sponsoring another Scholastic Book Fair. Many volunteers are needed to have a successful book fair and the grammar school students should have volunteer forms in their backpacks today. Volunteers can work just one shift or several shifts! JEAN ANDERSON MEMORIAL BIBLE TEST
Information on the Jean Anderson Memorial Bible Test was handed out to high school students today. Students must register by March 23 for this test. The student with the highest score receives a $100 prize, a new Bible, and their name on the plaque in the school lobby.
NEW COMMUNICATION TOOL
DID YOU GET THE SNOW DAY NOTIFICATIONS THIS WEEK ON YOUR SCHOOLWAY APP? Many of us did! If ACA is closing for sickness or severe weather, or if there is an urgent message we need to share with our families, we are now utilizing a new tool called SchoolWay. This is a free app that you can download to your iPhone or Android phone (from the App Store or Google Play); or you can download the web based version to receive messages via e-mail or text (you will need to enter your e-mail address or cell number to receive e-mail or text). The SchoolWay system will send you an alert and the message we need our families to receive. Please take a few moments to download the SchoolWay app for your computer at http://myschoolway.com/acatulsa or from the App Store or Google Play for your smart phone.
We will also notify channels 2, 6, and 23 if sickness or weather should cause us to close the school, but if you have the SchoolWay app you don’t have to wait to see it on TV. We feel SchoolWay will be a great partner, and it is a free system provided to us by our friends at Jostens. Please download SchoolWay at your earliest convenience.
Our art teacher, Ms. Linda Thornhill, is needing a few items for some art projects she has planned. If you have any styrofoam egg cartons, paper grocery bags, or 9 x 12 or larger picture frames that you could donate, please drop them off in the school office. Thank you!
