IT’S THAT TIME AGAIN!  The World’s Finest Chocolate bars have arrived and are being distributed.  ANY student or family can purchase or sell a box of the chocolates; however, if you were in the cast of “Sound of Music” or you are currently in the cast of “Seussical”, each cast member must sell or purchase ONE BOX of chocolates. If a family has more than one child participating in the school musicals, they are required to sell OR purchase 2 boxes. These chocolate bars are delicious and easy to sell at only $1 each.  This year we are offering CASH prizes for the top sellers: $200 (first place), $100 (second place), and $50 (third place). The deadline to return money in is MARCH 11th, which gives students approximately one month to sell boxes of chocolate bars.  There will be an informational letter going out with each box with instructions. The chocolate bar sale proceeds are used to fund the great musicals at ACA, so that we can continue to keep our cast fees to a minimum, as well as provide professional lighting for all of our shows. Thank you in advance for supporting the Performing Arts program at ACA!

Our second Little Theatre of the school year is next week!  The evening will start at 7:00 p.m. on FRIDAY, February 19th with MUSIC! The ACA LADIES SHOW CHOIR will perform medleys and a few special a cappella numbers. They will be followed by the Intro to Musical Theatre class which will also perform a couple of numbers. Then the Intro to Theater Class will be performing monologues and demonstrating stage combat. We will end the evening with the Performing Shakespeare Class performing a scene from “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”.  You will NOT want to miss this wonderful evening of music and drama on the ACA stage. Tickets can only be purchased at the door:  $3 for adults & $2 for students. The concession stand will open when the doors open and will be serving “Walking Tacos”, snacks, and beverages.  (The number of Walking Tacos is limited, so get yours before the show begins!)  The doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the performance starts at 7:00 p.m. and will run about 2 hours. COME EARLY AS SEATS SELL OUT QUICKLY!

Calling all girls at ACA who might be interested in checking out what American Heritage Girls can offer you. ACA is the official sponsor for AHG Troop OK0002 and we have many ACA girls who are a part of the troop. They meet on Mondays, right after school in the PAB and in a few rooms of our main building. The troop would love to see more ACA students involved in learning these great life skills. They are also looking at growing their volunteer parent roster and have a few key positions currently open for the coming year. Please review the attached flyer and if you are interested in more information, please reach out to troop coordinator, Susan Collier at [email protected] or one of the many AHG families you may know.

Campbells is making a change and after this school year will be discontinuing their Labels for Education program.  For ACA that means that we have one more chance to turn in labels for credit toward classroom supplies!  If you have been saving Campbells labels, please bring those to the school office by March 31st so we can get them turned in to Campbells before the end of the school year.

Our regular office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. each day that school is in session. If you need to reach someone outside of office hours, please email [email protected] .
