ACA CHRISTMAS QUILT
Plan to join us this Friday, December 2nd at 6:30 p.m. The “ACA Christmas Quilt” is an evening of music, oratory presentations, fun and fellowship. Due to a very busy fall schedule, we are combining our Faculty Follies and our student Christmas Concert into one very special event this year. Our Show Choir, faculty, small groups, grammar and secondary classes, as well as our Houses, will be performing throughout the evening. Following our wonderful program, we will have a fellowship time together with cookies and beverages. This is an ACA family event for the whole school! During the evening, we will be honoring our teachers by taking up an offering for their annual Christmas bonus. Please plan to attend; but if you are unable to join us, you may make a donation online or at the school office. We look forward to seeing you there as we celebrate Christmas and fellowship together! Did we mention that there will be cookies?
Grammar students are to wear their blue polo and uniform slacks/skirts. Please arrive no later than 6:15 to run through stage entry and exit. Grammar students are to sit with their family until given their cue to prepare for their number.

Primary parking available in the lot west of the church across S. Hudson Ave. Handicap parking available in the east church lot. There is an elevator just inside the east entrance door.
SPIRIT WEAR WEEK
Would your student like to have a whole week of spirit wear? The 8th graders are sponsoring a week of spirit wear, December 5 - 9. This is a fundraiser for their 8th grade trip in the spring. Students can purchase the entire week of spirit wear for $10, or two days of spirit wear for $5 (M/W or T/Th). All students (and teachers) can participate! Regular spirit wear only, except that students may choose to wear Christmas sweaters/shirts on one of their days (Dec. 7, 8, or 9). Christmas shirts & sweaters must be Christmas themed and not “homemade” with items pinned or taped on. Please see Ms. Becki (in the office) this week to purchase spirit wear wristbands.
END OF THE SEMESTER
The last day of regular classes for all grades will be Friday, December 16th. Final exams for secondary students will be on Monday, December 19th and Tuesday, December 20th. The December lunch menu included Monday the 19th, so if you ordered and your students will not be here that day, your money will be refunded. The school office will close at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 20th, and will re-open at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 3rd. Students will report for school on Wednesday, January 4th, for the beginning of second semester.
IT’S NOT TOO LATE TO PURCHASE A YEARBOOK!
Maybe you totally forgot? Or maybe you just haven’t made the time to do it yet? Whatever your reason for not ordering your student’s yearbook yet… it’s not too late! Simply go to: https://www.treering.com/ and click on “Buy Yearbook” in the upper right hand corner of the page. Then just follow a few simple steps and BOOM! - you’ll be done and can check that off of your “to do list”. Order a yearbook for each of your students, or just one for your family, but your students will want to have the yearbook to look at in the coming years. You cannot order at school, so go to: https://www.treering.com/ and get your book ordered before the final order deadline. Yearbooks will be distributed in May, 2017.
Winter Court is the annual formal banquet for ACA high school students. It is designed to celebrate being part of the Kingdom of Christ and our unique relationship with each other as brothers and sisters in the Lord. A King and Queen will be crowned and seniors who choose to will be inducted into the New Order of Augustine alumni organization.
This year Winter Court will be held on Friday, January 20, 2017, beginning at 6:00 p.m. It will be in a new location – the Tulsa Country Club, 701 N. Union Ave. in Tulsa. All ACA high school students are encouraged to attend!
Tickets for Winter Court will be on sale beginning Monday, December 5th, and will cost $42 each. Tickets will not be available after January 13th.
ACA students are allowed to bring a date from another school provided that their date is willing to respect the purpose and standards of this formal evening and dress according to the dress code below. Dates from another school must have their parents sign a consent form (available in the school office).
WINTER COURT DRESS CODE:
1. All dresses must be tea or floor length
2. All dresses must have a modest neckline. That is, it must be no lower than mid-back and reveal no cleavage in the front.
3. Any dress slits must go no higher than the knee
4. Gentlemen must wear tuxedos, dark suits, or coats, dress slacks, and ties.
All young ladies must have their dresses approved. They may bring their dress to the school for approval or they may send pictures of themselves in the dress they plan to wear (front & back) to the following email address for approval.
