TUITION PAYMENTS FOR 2017-2018
If you are planning to pay tuition monthly through FACTS, please stop by the office and pick up a FACTS payment form, or call the office and we can send a form home with your student (we did not have them available when the re-enrollment packets were mailed out) . Also, please remember that if you received financial assistance for this school year, you must still apply for financial assistance for next year. Please call the school office with any questions concerning re-enrollment or tuition payments.
AUGIE AWARDS CEREMONY
Dear Cast Members, Backstage and Tech members, Families and Friends: YOU have been nominated to attend The Augie Awards Ceremony on MAY 6th , 6:30 - 9:30 p.m., in the ACA Great Room. There are only 250 tickets available! Cast members need to pick up their tickets ASAP from the school office. Parents, Family, and Friends may attend, but tickets are on a first come basis. Dress code for cast and tech: High School is Winter Court inspired, Jr. Cast is “Sunday best”. Family and friends that attend should NOT wear jeans or shorts. This is a huge night for your student. Awards will be given, entertainment provided, alumni will be the Master of Ceremonies and the presenters for the evening, and we will celebrate with dessert & punch. Also, we will be announcing next year’s musicals! This year the event is FREE to family and friends, however, we are asking in lieu of admission that parents donate a dessert: cupcakes, cookies, fruit platters, pies, cakes, etc. We will supply the punch. Desserts need to be brought to the school kitchen the afternoon of the Augie Awards. For more information, please contact Mrs. Post. Thank you in advance for supporting the arts at ACA.
SHOW CHOIR AUDITIONS
This year, show choir auditions will be open to both girls and guys who will be entering grades 9 - 12 next fall. The Audition Workshop will be held Tuesday, May 9th at 3:30, with auditions being May 11th at 3:30. PICK UP THE SHOW CHOIR HANDBOOK & AUDITION PACKET from the school office. If your student has picked up a packet and is planning to audition, please see the “Show Choir Letter” attached below!
SUMMER WEEKS OF THE ARTS - WEEK ONE
Attached below is all of the information about the classes being offered during Week One of the Summer Weeks of the Arts. There will be Puppetry, Sewing, Set Design & building, Hebrew, Sign Language, Reading Around the World, and Broadway Kids. Some classes are half day and some are full day. Invite friends and cousins! Turn your registration form in at the school office. Get 5% off if you pay in full by this Friday!
SUMMER WEEKS OF THE ARTS - WEEK TWO
Disney’s “SLEEPING BEAUTY” is coming to the ACA during Week Two of the Summer Weeks of the Arts: June 12 - 16!
The brochure and registration form is attached below for our Summer Theatre production of “Sleeping Beauty”. We would love to have your child participate and we hope they bring a friend or relative with them. This is community theatre so you do NOT need to attend ACA. There are plenty of parts for both girls and boys in this musical! We will only take 60 cast members and we have already been enrolling cast members for the past two weeks. The Audition Placement Workshop is Saturday, May 13, from 9:00 a.m. - 12 noon, with a parent meeting that follows. See you at the workshop! If you have any questions, call Gale Post at 918-852-2040.
SUMMER FIELD STUDIES
We are excited to start a Summer Field Study program. We are offering this program to our high school students (including the current 8th graders). The studies offered this summer will be Explore Oklahoma and Discover Dallas. There is a PDF attached below that will give you more details about the trips. The trips are tentatively scheduled for the 3rd week in June and the 3rd week in July. In order for a trip to work out, we must have 6 students committed. There is also a maximum number of 12 students per trip. Students who complete one of the trips will also be able to receive 3 colloquia points. Colloquia points are part of the requirements to graduate from ACA. We are looking for interested students! If you have any questions or comments please contact Jessika Crow at [email protected]
