Each person who purchases a yearbook will get to personalize two pages in their yearbook with their own photos, quotes, & memories of the year.  (you can purchase additional pages to personalize at a very minimal cost)  This is such a fun way to make the yearbook truly yours!



FINAL FRIDAY SPIRIT WEAR DAY

“A CHRISTMAS CAROL” - THE MUSICAL

CAST PARENTS: All cast fee balances are due to the office by next TUESDAY, OCTOBER 2ND.

PRE-SALE TICKETS: CAST PARENTS have the opportunity to purchase tickets before anyone else. TIckets will be sold to cast parents October 4th - 6th in the school office. Adults are $10, Students/Children $7.  ALL CAST BALANCES must be paid before you can purchase tickets. You also receive a 10% discount for up to 10 tickets..

Production dates are:

November 9, 10, & 11 at 7:00 pm

November 11 at 2:00 pm

November 12 at 3:00 pm

This is a family friendly production but may be unsuitable for children younger than 5 years old.

POSTERS and POSTCARDS are now available to distribute and display. PLEASE help us advertise this exciting ACA production.

EMPTY TOILET PAPER ROLLS NEEDED FOR “A CHRISTMAS CAROL”.  Mrs. Post is needing about 50 EMPTY toilet paper rolls. Please put your rolls in a bag and drop your bag off in the the school office.




FAFSA NIGHT

Attention parents of seniors:  ACA is hosting a “FAFSA Night” on Friday, October 6th, featuring Bobbi McKinney from NSU.  Bobbi will walk you through the process of filling out the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) online for your senior.  Even if you think your senior wouldn’t qualify for Federal Student Aid, you should come to this workshop!  Colleges and universities require students to complete a FAFSA before they will award any scholarships.  Contact Mrs. Collingsworth at [email protected] if you have any questions.



GRAMMAR SCHOOL FIELD TRIPS

Our Grammar School classes are taking several field trips in October!  All of the classes will be going to the Tulsa Zoo on Friday, October 6th; and then later in the month, there will be field trips to the Pumpkin Patch and the Geoscience Center.  Make sure you get those permission slips turned in on time so that your student won’t miss out on these great trips!




OCTOBER LUNCH ORDER FORMS

Attached below is the lunch order form for the month of October.  If your student is ordering lunches for the month, please turn in their order form and payment by this Friday, September 29th.  Order forms are also available in the school office.  Students may still order in the mornings… this monthly order form is for your convenience.

Also, please note that the Wednesday Nibbler Boxes should be ordered on Tuesdays so we can be sure to have enough of each item on hand to fill the Nibbler boxes on Wednesdays.  If you are ordering for the month, we will have your student complete their Nibbler Box order forms in the office.




PROGRAM ADS FOR “A CHRISTMAS CAROL - the musical”

Many parents and patrons have asked throughout the years when we are going to allow ads to be published in our program.  We are excited to tell inform you THIS IS THE YEAR! We are now accepting program ads for our fall musical, “A Christmas Carol - the musical”.  Lisa Moore is the parent who puts our programs together and attached below is an order form outlining prices, sizes, etc. The DEADLINE for payment of ad space is FRIDAY, OCT. 20TH. Payments are to be made in the school office and checks made out to Augustine Christian Academy. All ads are full color and must be in camera-ready digital format of jpg or pdf.  Please look at the attached form for more information. If you have a business, know someone who has a business, or are a  parent or family member that wants to celebrate your child’s performance in the musical, then you do NOT want to miss out on this opportunity. FENCE PROJECT HELP NEEDED

Calling all parents with fence building or general building experience. We are putting together a team of helpers (high school students and adults) for the ACA version of a modern-day barn-raising event. We have received a donation for a new vinyl fence to be constructed around the front of the Annex. We will come together to construct the fence over two Saturdays, October 7th and 14th beginning at 9:00 a.m. both days. If you have experience with fences and would like to lend a hand, please contact John Ahrens at [email protected] for more information. Once this project is complete, we can begin moving our Agriculture projects, install our Gaga Pit and begin other fun projects, greatly expanding our playground area for the school and providing additional security and better looking frontage on Sheridan.




ACA CAMPUS PROJECTS

We want to give a huge “Thank you!” to all who have participated in our projects through the summer and the beginning of the school year. PSAT OFFERED AT ACA

We will be giving the PSAT test at ACA on Saturday, October 14th, at 8:00 a.m.  This is the qualifying test for high school juniors for the National Merit Scholarship Competition.  To encourage our 11th graders to take the PSAT, we offer it to them at no cost.  10th graders may take the PSAT for practice, but it does not count for the National Merit Scholarship when taken by 10th graders.  There is a cost of $18 for any 10th grader taking the test for practice.  We have a limited number of spots still available for the test, so if you would like to sign your student up, please contact Becki in the school office as soon as possible.



LIBRARY HELP NEEDED

Mrs. Cathey is looking for a parent or two to help sort books in the “new library” located downstairs. We have had a ton of books donated to us and we need a volunteer or two who can come in about once a week to help filter through the books and organize them. If you are available and interested, please contact Mrs. Cathey at [email protected]



CAR-POOL MAP

Is your family is looking for someone to car-pool with?  Have you driven by a house in your neighborhood and noticed an ACA sticker on the car in the driveway?  We have a map that shows where all of our ACA families live and there might be someone who lives near you!  For information on how to access this online map, please call Ms. Becki in the school office.




MOMS PRAYER TIME

Join a group of ACA moms to pray for our school, our kids, our teachers & administration, and our families.  They will be meeting on Thursday mornings at 8:15 in room 104 (off of the Great Room across from the 2nd grade classroom).  There are no commitments… just come when you are able to join them!  If you arrive early (before 8:00) you can grab a cup of coffee in the school lobby!




COFFEE & FELLOWSHIP

Join us each morning when dropping off your child(ren) for school. Take an extra few minutes to park and start your day with some great fellowship as well as a great cup of Java Dave’s coffee. We have been enjoying these mornings with our teachers and parents and we would love to see you there. The coffee bar is open in the lobby between 7:30 - 8:00 a.m. each morning.
